I’m too late for the covered bike rack so use the other opposite. Seems fine.
I've cycled a few times from Shoreham - getting there early enough to lock up in the covered bike rack. I do find it frustrating after the game having to wheel my bike through the slow moving crowd down to the bridge before I can get going.

That takes an age. ITK Albion cyclists gently peddle down without annoying anyone, I did that once.

Respect to those that put up with the woefully sub-standard travel arrangements 20-odd times a season. I can’t see me ever putting myself through that shit show ever again tbh

Its getting to a point whereby if there's no EDF or I don't have a lift, then Sundays / evenings are just going to be a write-off for me, I can't really be arsed with it.
And when a majority of games become those, and you can’t sell or forget to list then the price per ticket doubles and that’s a lot of money down the pan. Plus you risk getting a poor attendance letter and threat to remove you as a STH (oh the irony!) so someone who really is only in it for the PL can replace you. Yep, that’s modern football / following the Albion in 2024. How it has changed since those days of us supporting at home games with less than 5-6k attending!

I think from memory … enough to lock the back wheel and that very back bit of the frame with my u lock. I bring a high-rated cable too for linking the lot the front wheel and more of the frame.
Thats good to know. I would feel much more confident leaving my bike there if I could get a U lock on both the frame and wheel.
But I would only use at the last resort.

Took over 4 hours when no trains via combination walking waiting at bus stops drove past full up. Walked more. Bus broke down Lewes Rd after ages waiting replacement driver more walking it wasnt just the journey but the changing busses, club laid on special bus but these rammed full so was plenty hanging around but I assure you took just over 4 hours.

If i lived in Kensington FT i think i would slowly become a QPR fan the attraction of half an hour walk would be appealing. I have thought about buying another place walkable to the Amex but also thought thats madness for dozen times a season given im.in LA and Kensington at times too.

Not for everyone I know but I cycle there now. Takes about an hour from Portslade, not racing it, just going at a steady pace .
I look forward to the ride as much as I do to the game.
Only down side is you got to get there early to be sure of getting a place in the decent bike rack.
I do wish they would add more decent cycle parking.
Yeah, we've discussed this before and whilst as you say cycling isn't an option for everyone (or every time) it could definitely make a bigger contribution if only the cycle facilities at the Amex were better.

A reason was given as to why they hadn't been / couldn't be improved, but being a senile old git I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

They forgot where it is located. Or is it forgotten?

All I can say regarding travel is thank goodness for North West Sussex Seagulls.

When I moved to Horsham 2 years ago the thought of getting trains to football seemed a right ballache. Horsham->Three Bridges->Brighton->Falmer.

Now I just get on an NWSS coach 5 minutes from home and get driven straight to the ground.

I think this is an older person thing, most people my age haven't really been in any mind to give up their season ticket as a result of the transport, in fact more and more of my mates are getting a season ticket. I think when people bemoan being replaced by some other 'PL fan' they're just getting replaced by someone younger. I don't think people giving up their season tickets, poor atmosphere etc is just a Brighton thing, its just football as a whole.
