It's clearly a cry for help, to find an edge, I hate to say it but Palace would still get behind them if they were two nil down in a normal match, let alone a derby.
And we did get behind them, massively, in the second half.

Also we've all seen Selhurst go flat when we've been winning there. Their fans are decent but let's not hold them up to be something they're not.

Yep. The players should be getting each other going. If they do that, the fan reaction will take care of itself

I can't pretend I helped as I am unable to get there at the moment, but it sounded unusually flat for long periods for a derby, all that came across was Palace singing...I hated it.
I'm glad you have told me otherwise.

Didn’t notice Bart do it but he’s on a long list. To be fair, he rarely puts in a bad performance so don’t find that too annoying. Seems to be the young ‘flair’ players mainly who’ve taken it upon themselves to try to get the fans going. Doing something exciting on the pitch is certain to be a lot more effective than waving their arms about. If I was the boss, I think I’d be telling them to focus on that.

Spot on. Don’t get it. Pedro all round was an irritating twat today.
I may start a thread on this when I have the pictures...

But, Pedro has.... a tonsure.

He's going all Iwelumo.

Mark my words, if he does not appear in the New Year with a shaven pate, I'll be rasin' an eyebrow or two. Possibly three ???

Pedro and Rutter were doing it from the start. Yet the support today was good.

The fans are not the problem.

Our shit fanbase at the Amex is one of the key reasons we won't be able to keep hold of our best players.

These players want to play for fans who will be the 12th man, who will react to this kind of geeing up.

Our Amex fanbase is full of old farts, plastics, away fans and generally miserable fuckers. A bit like NSC really. It's a library when things are going badly.

We do need some kind of movement to help make the Amex electric in order to help our results. Things could be SO much better for this club if we had a supportive fanbase at the Amex.
You really need to go visit some other football grounds in this country and sit in the home ends if you really think its that different elsewhere. It really, really isn't

The way they did last season when we went ahead at the Amex?
Oh, no they didn't, they went silent (and that's the more passionate - for the most part - fans who travel away).
In fact it was only last season that their fans were seriously getting on the club's back when they were doing shit

Players want to play for a club who pays them an obscene wage packet. They couldn’t give a toss about the fans.
Toney moving to Arab land is a prime example. Chelsea atmosphere is crap at best, Arsenal sing when they’re winning. It’s horse shit the players don’t really care either way.

Anyone else find this weird (at best)?

2-0 down against our biggest rivals going down with a wimper, 3 minutes into first half stoppage time, ball out for a throw at midfield.

Tell me what fans in the world would be cranking up the atmosphere at that moment?
I didnt have a problem with that why would i

I'd rather our fans who can get to the game (and aren't 10k miles away) were angry and loud than sitting quietly in rivalry game especially (0-2 no excuse in THIS match). Noise doesn't need to be all happy and clappy all the time. Players needed a stick not a carrot.
