Finished at this level. Good at passing. Can't run. Done.
I think JPVH’s form has been off since Dunk returned to the team. There’s certainly been a drop in form since Lewis came back, not that I am putting our entire performance down to him - I am not - but the dynamic at the back isn’t clicking as well. I think Lewis has slowed everything down too much.Very poor from Dunk. I agree with those saying Van Hecke was worse and I think his form has generally been off a cliff since his great start to the season
And I guess Igor f***ed up when he came on last week
So i'f i'm honest, i'm not sure who we should be playing centre back
“He said go Lewis, he said go…”Cheers Lewis, club legend and all that but no longer good enough I'm.afraid.
Why not? Some of the best centre backs have balance and poise and feet, with plenty of cunningness and bite. Igor isn't the answer.Veltman as CB? Absolutely not.
Well since Dunk has returned he has. Here we go! What a load of bollocks! Dunk been carrying CB partners for years and today was no exception JP was far worse!

We certainly are …for all Baleba’s talent …he’s inexperienced along with YariDunk has certainly had a poor run of games. You can argue there’s been a decline for a while. I agree, but he still has his qualities.
Passing from the backing and starting moves drops off when he’s not in the side. Van Hecke was also off it today defensively, but also made many lose passes.
Dunk also needs Veltman’s brain and voice on the pitch. Tactically Dunk is poor at marshalling the back line, and will talk himself into a booking. We’re also lacking experience in front of Dunk.
Agreed, Hurzeler should have left him out until JP or Igor were out for whatever reasonI think there is some over reaction. True, Lewis had a shocker today and really seems to be out of form at the moment.
But I think it's a bit of a stretch to say he is finished. Probably shouldn't have been rushed back when Igor was doing so well.
I for one am not writing him off yet and hope he'll find his way back into form
They do, but Veltman has spent the majority of his Albion career at RB, he’s played a handful of games at CB and has never looked particularly comfortable. If we get back to a back 4 of Estupinan, Igor, JP and Veltman we’ll be fine. Why not? Some of the best centre backs have balance and poise and feet, with plenty of cunningness and bite. Igor isn't the answer.
Exactly……seems like it’s the usual scapegoat stuffYou say that, but plenty on here thought we wouldn't have lost the lead against Wolves if Dunk was playing.

Veltman defensively/nous certainly offers more that Tariq…and I’d welcome his return…..whether VH partners Dunk or Igor doesn’t bother meThey do, but Veltman has spent the majority of his Albion career at RB, he’s played a handful of games at CB and has never looked particularly comfortable. And to think, we went to one CM in the second half. lol.Two in CM so often get overrun in PL games. The best midfields contain three.
from what I was watching Mateta was invariably up again VH….but then my eyesight isn’t 100% at mo….so ignore my observationsNot a fan of how Dunk keeps getting sucked into midfield to engage their attackers, he’s got no recovery speed and didn’t see him win a header today against Mateta, same against Munoz for Fulham.
Van Hecke was abysmal from my viewpoint in the North. He should have come off for Igor early second halfVan Hecke was also off it today defensively, but also made many lose passes.
