Missing de Zerbi? Are we conveniently forgetting the last 6 months of one-dimensional shit he served up while he was busy throwing a tantrum and throwing players under the bus?

Having said that, Hurzeler is showing his inexperience. Can't wait to have Veltman, Welbeck and maybe Kadioglu back. Lamptey and Pervis are giving a real 1/10 defensively today.

The game turned with their first goal, which should never have been a corner after Oliver impeded Baleba. Shocking refereeing.
Sure it's all Oliver's fault :ffsparr: . SO much happened between that and the goal and that thick idiot Baleba ran into Oliver.

This is all on us. Not the referee.

Well we were awful first half absolutely awful in midfield we are just being over run two v four while our defenders look like they have never played together before really missing Veltman and his ability to just take the heat out of the game likewise no Welbeck who can just calm our over excited young forwards.
Really going to be tough coming back from this position unless Fab can install some calm steely second half passion if we can get one early goal then nerves might set in for Palarce

TRIPLE SUBSTITUTION NOW I DON’T CARE WHO 🤣

New system and currently pretty close to on par with our best ever season. Bad first half sure and some naivety....but massive over reaction
It’s a match day thread mate, and we’re 2-0 down at home to our rivals and playing badly.

Football fans overreact both positively after a win and negatively after a loss, the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

I’d suggest logging off for the next few days because it’s going to be thread after thread and post after post of abject negativity.

There’s no reasoning with an angry/disappointed/expectant/drunk football supporter

I like Lamptey, but watching him jump as high as he could and still fail to intercept a ball that the Palace player didn’t have to leave the deck for will stay with me.

We desperately need Ferdi or Hinshelwood or Veltman on the right. Having all three out is painful.

This may have been discussed and to be clear I am not denying Palace deserve to be winning but, Oliver blocked Baleba (?) when he had a good chance of winning the ball. Palace broke and got two corners, the second of which they scored from. Shouldn’t the ref stop play if he gets in the way of a player?

I can't recall a ref not stopping play and giving a drop ball after directly interfering with play before. That was odd.

Doesn't excuse the defending though.
