I seem to remember that both sets of fans were let out at the same time after matches at the Withdean with no trouble (that I saw or was aware of). Yes, this fixture does seems to bring out idiots on both sides but I suspect that take away any segregation and there would be little if any trouble.

The main problem is the trains, there is enough friction between Albion fans waiting impatiently without adding 3000 Palace into the mix. Keep Palace in the ground until their train. Invoice them if there is any damage caused.
There is no shadow of doubt that there are a couple of hundred from each club who are up for a scrap. Remembering the 70s and 80s it's not just the fighting that's the problem, but the alarm that pockets of trouble causes amongst regular punters which can cause surges and crushing. So, the club and the Police have to keep it segregated and contained.

There will be a special train for visiting supporters, and those wishing to use this will be escorted to Falmer Station in good time. The service will call at Three Bridges, East Croydon, Clapham Junction and London Victoria. This is the quickest way back to south London.

So it’s possible for southern rail to put on an extra train for palace fans but for any other game it’s IMpossible…..

Email club sent out says: "Post-match: Supporters leaving the Amex to reach the coach park, park and ride and car parks, will be directed clockwise to reach their destination." I do hope they've told the Police that so if you are leaving to reach the train station you can go clockwise. Wonder if anyone leaving for the Bridge car park will just say "Im off to the station mate" (and of course just walk by), what could possibly go wrong?

Why would anyone leaving the East or North Stands want to go clockwise to the Station, it seems the long way round to me.

Don't they keep the palace fans in the ground post match until it's time to frogmarch them to the station? If so, perfectly ok to walk past the south stand.
They're not kept inside the ground, they are kept outside the South Stand just past the stairs for the coach park, so there is no way to go past the South Stand

I'd be amazed if the home fans train queues have anywhere near cleared after a Sunday afternoon match in time for the away fans to be marched to the station. Could get messy

If that's right how to west stand supporters get to the coach park?
We turn right on exiting and go all the way around the stadium in a clockwise direction. OR … nip up the ramp just past the away team coach and then we can look down on the Palace surrounded by police while we stroll to the coach park.

They have to walk around the whole stadium in a clockwise direction, which isn’t good for the less mobile.

Not after they smashed some of the toilets. The repair bill was sent to Selhurst Park.

It is not talking about the Bridge and Uni car parks, but the car park by the stadium.

Won’t be an issue at all

The only restriction is you can’t walk past the south stand anti clockwise At full time, all other movements are fine
