I ordered a dozen bottles of Harvey's Albion :bhasign: to sip while watching the footie

Unfortunately, they shipped the wrong beer (Armada) so I asked if they would kindly exchange

Just had the reply

Hello

I am sorry about this ‘mis-pick’, I’ll send the correct product today for you

Are you OK to share the incorrect beer with friends/ colleagues? This will avoid the costly collection fee’s couriers charge and hopefully bring some joy.

Kind Regards

Adam

Was the Armada beer any good? I've never liked the 'Albion'.

And the Albion Ale duly arrived, in time for this weekend’s games on the telly

Cheers

That’s great. I was told a few years ago that all ingredients for Harvey’s except finings came from a distance no further than a horse drawn cart could travel in a day, not just environmentally friendly but supporting local businesses too. Until recently it was only available in places within the same radius.

A lot of the waste products go to Plumpton agricultural college as fertiliser or feed and their bottle re-use policy is also exemplary. Add in just how much of community life in Lewes they sponsor directly or subsidise through low cost provision of beer to allow community groups to receive more of the sale price and they are pretty much the perfect business. Miles Jenner should get in the honours at some point.

Do you reckon I could try that one out in the West Upper bars tomorrow?

If MrsBC had had a son, I wanted to call him Harvey, after the brewery. As time has elapsed, Harvey's Best has been replaced at the top of my EBL by Dark Star (Hophead) and now probably Burning Sky (Arise). Perhaps not quite such suitable names, although it seems that in Brighton, anything goes.

Fiveways
There's one of those fluffy profile pieces in the Guardian today, you know, when were you most happy etc, and the subject was Andrew Ridgely. One of the questions was "What or who is the greatest love of your life", to which he answered Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter. Gone right up in my estimation!
Me too. Maybe it's a Fiveways thing

Ridgeley lives in N Cornwall so he should really be drinking Tribute or Doom Bar (gag). Everyone knows that Harvey's doesn't really travel well (it's that 50 mile thing). However, as others have said, it shows he's got good taste.
