As someone who inevitably over analyses everything....

I don't have the bus fare to critique our model, or our situation, or need to.

We have never had it so good, and the man who is masterminding it is scoring 110%.

Shit happens. Look at Citeh. And we are in touching distance of them, the most effective football machine in EPL history.

Reach out and we can touch them. Think of that. Madness, 8 years ago. Or even 3 years ago.

Let's get behind the team again on Sunday, and enjoy the ride.

On a more serious note, I agree with your sentiment - although the thinly veiled jibe is a little daytime tv drama for my liking…

Next you’ll be calling me out as the Alan Bennett to your Giles Brandreth… the perfect knit wear shrouded radio 4 ‘witty’ antidote to my overwrought gritty northern realism… the point being, I’m far more Peter Tinniswood and proud of it.

I've spent hours reading and watching his stuff. It was after reading his diaries and social commentaries that I started writing myself. Often look to see if he has anything new out. I think he may be slowing down now though. He is 90.

I remember watching the Cream Cracker Under the Settee when I was really quite young… it had a lasting and profound effect on me…

Akin to sitting with my grandad in a dilapidated Victorian bandstand in a park somewhere in Sheffield, sheltering from an April shower… folding little pieces of paper into boats, ready to set sail down the brook behind the hedge strewn with discarded tins of beer, some losing their lustre after years of lying prone within the leaf litter and other assorted detritus… perhaps blown by the cold wind of post industrial slump, perhaps not… perhaps thrown by a drunken youth in an impotent show of rage… perhaps not…

Great stuff @Harry Wilson's tackle.

Football would be a bit shit if every 'on paper' result came to be. For every (this season for example) Wolves and Leicester there will be a Tottenham and Citeh. Yeah, the latters are fukken annoying, but trade them for no Spurs or Citehs? Get fukked.

Tomorrow is the best and worst approaching game of the season. Want 3 points so much, and can't bear thinking about 0. I console myself knowing that I will get another reminder of why none of our players would make the Palace starting 11. If we can somehow avoid defeat to such a world class team with the best manager of the modern era, well that'll be as big a result as winning the champions' league.

The ride will most certainly be enjoyed. With quite a lot of cussing.
