[Albion] Demand for away tickets

Will demand for away tickets increase at some point just in case, well - you know, there might be a few extra away games next season?

I know this will trigger a "now you've done it Bozza", and I'll be blamed as we slide down the table, get relegated, and the most exotic away game we have next season is Middlesbrough.

However, in my defence...

1. What I write on here has absolutely no influence on the results of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club.

2. This hadn't crossed my mind before someone (I can't remember who now) at the game on Saturday mentioned they might start upping their away attendance to keep their loyalty points tally up "just in case".

Edit: Or are you all doing this already and I'm typically late to the party?

November 12th a distant memory. The players now in every PL game scuppering any dreams of European football 2025/26.

I'm scaling back my own ambitions for the second half of the season.

I reserve the right to be fickle and go away game crazy if things change in due course!

I'm booked for two of the next 3 aways, bring on the exultant glories or the pratfall f***-ups, and treat the two imposters etc etc

We'd 100% sell out all four, probably all at STH level. But when you have the possibility of the Bernebeu, Westfalenstadion and San Siro etc, I reckon Leipzig being your biggest away feels a bit shite
Leipzig's a cracking city, I based myself there for the 06WC, I'd love to go back.

Well, I’ve already got a hotel booked, 10 points doesn’t really bother me but £29.50 for a child? f*** sake, Liverpool was £9 for the boy (IIRC)
While that takes the piss, wait till they hit 18! Suddenly that half price rail and match ticket, packet of sweets and bottle of water becomes a Two Together railcard, full price ticket and a couple of pints.

It’s a PITA right now waiting for Norwich confirmation as I can only afford that OR United in January as two aways is effectively four for my wallet. I’d rather do Norwich but if it ends up Friday or Monday risk doing neither. And he has struggled finding a part time job because he wants flexibility of shift in case one of our home games gets moved.

I have created a monster

My son's season ticket was once half the cost of mine. Now I have crossed the geriatric rubicon its 50% more expensive.

Think you can go via P

Think you can travel Via Peterborough on the train ( but more expensive.)
You can but the trains are tiny. Two or three car IIRC. Going up if you leave early enough the Royston / Cambridge buses shouldn't be too bad. Coming home will be a bunfight but I doubt any tickets will get checked.

The geriatric Rubicon is well worth crossing. You get reduced price Albion season ticket, OAP bus pass, Senior Railcard allowing a third off on train fares and reduced price haircut at my local Turkish barbers. You can shuffle and dribble to your heart’s content and no one tut-tuts. Young ladies will talk to you on the train because you’re harmless and not trying it on. The lads will chat to you as you have the air of been there/done it. Oh, and you can fall asleep anywhere and no one gives a shit. Wonderful! :drink:

That aspect is seriously one of the best things about ageing. I love the fact that I can have a proper chat with women after decades of them thinking (quite correctly) that my motives might not be honourable.

I can assure you that my motives now are still very, very dishonourable. A case of my head says yes but my body says f*** off! :lolol:
