OK, and no guarantee we qualify for Europe in any form, but almost all of last season’s Champions League qualifying teams had a mare or two: City losing to Wolves and drawing with Roy’s Palace, Villa losing to Forest and drawing with Wolves and Everton, Liverpool losing to Everton and drawing with Luton. We’ve dropped quite a few points and it’s not even Christmas so he might well be correct but it’s also too early to write us off.

Yeah I have no problem with self-deprecating humour in chants either.
I think it would be a great idea to have an alternative version when it goes tits up.
Some of the best ones last season were "are you Luton in disguise" at Roma away and "we scored a goal" at Burnley away
Seem to remember the Stephens our midfielder chant was often changes to "Always gives the ba;ll away" when he was having a mare.

If by precious you mean someone who thinks that some Brighton fans are getting ahead of themselves and personally would prefer to wait until we have actually achieved something before celebrating it then i am guilty as charged m'lud. I think you have me nailed as a person because i do indeed dislike all the tit for tat chants between fans. However i always always join in with all the Albion, Sussex and individual player chants and i never leave a match before applauding the players off of the pitch so perhaps i am not all bad!

I actually never really enjoy myself until the final whistle. I always expect the sky to fall in at any moment - always have. Ive never quite understood the bravado and cockiness of singing anything triumphant until it's in the bag. Ive always thought "have these people not watched football before? "
