Well no trees on the line but the train broke down pulling out of Crewe and I am now told I won’t make it to Leicester until 3 ish so I am going to make my way back home

What really pissed me off is the employee who told me”well you were warned not to travel today”.
But they still took my money for the ticket.

It’s academic but was the train breakdown due to the bad weather? Seems unlikely so the warning about travel is irrelevant. If a tree had blown down over the line, then fair enough. I’d have thought you could still claim your money back if it was just a mechanical breakdown.

It's alright, folks. The midweek farrago was my fault, as it was the first match all season I watched on the telly. All our best results have been when I was listening to 5Live (whether we're the featured match or not). I'm reverting back to that as the good luck charm for the day. That'll work, right?
