Enjoying it, especially the stuff in Helmand

I want Bianca to f*** up btw

UDC deserves a sniper‘s bullet imo, he’s an unlikeable twat, hope the Jackal pulls it off but I lost some sympathy with him after Rasmus

He certainly took him out IN THE SHADOWS

Got no emotional connection to either of the lead characters and couldn’t care less what happens to them. Eddie Redmayne has go to be the least interesting anti-hero ever. Dull as dishwater and the agent who casually sacrifices her sources and doesn’t have the know how to prevent the husband from holding her daughter hostage is not fit for purpose. Dull Dull Dull! If you want to see some serious spy craft watch ‘The Bureau’ which is simply outstanding!

I’ve not seen the latest episode yet, but I think ER’s been bloody brilliant in this show so far.

Enjoying it, but can't remember the last time I watched something where I want everyone to lose. No one is likeable in the series, apart from his Spanish wife of course.

Agree. I’m enjoying it but the actress playing Bianca is badly miscast, just not believable

I just don’t think she has the acting chops or the physicality to convince that she’s a ruthless, badass MI6 agent who is an equal to the Jackal. Even the domestic stuff with the husband is cringe

I've just watched the final episode (no spoilers) and thought the whole series was very good. There will be the inevitable comparisons with the film and Edward Fox but I think both stand on their own and as such can be enjoyed separately

Sat and watched the finale last night and sky managed to piss off both me and the Mrs.
During the adverts halfway through, there was an advert for season 2 saying "the jackal will be back" basically giving away the ending. Bit shoddy that.
Decent series, still don't like Redmayne though, far too wet to be a believable hitman, just not menacing enough.

Loved the series and think Eddie Redmayne is great, but why does his facial expression always seem to suggest he's either heavily consitapted or trying to hold a large turd back?

Mostly good, but dear lord that Bianca character was annoying, was very much rooting for her not to succeed.

Might be an age thing, ie I missed it 😂, but there seemed to be a plot hole, never told us what happened to his ‘spotter’ from the Army, they both walked away in the Afghanistan flashback bit, then both presumed dead which enabled them to become international hit men.
