Wishing Michail a full and quick recovery. 🙏

It will take him a few months to recover from such a serious sounding car accident. PTSD and flashbacks can linger on for a long time. I hope the fans are patient after going through something as bad as that.

If that was a non famous person who’s been involved in two crashes like this they’d be getting some absolute pelters!

GWS though and thank god no innocent bystanders were killed !

Took someone's front garden out whilst they were eating their Xmas dinner. Someone could easily have been killed, it's on a pedestrian crossing near Wandsworth Common.

You shouldn't be driving that fast around there to have an accident.

He was dressed as Father Christmas, , there are videos if you can bothered to google them.

Of course no idea about the circumstances of the last one but has had a couple of serious crashes in high speed cars at Xmas or near.

I think you and I are on the same page with regards to what we think of this individual’s attitude towards driving and anti social is the most polite way i can describe it 👍

Breaking news - Michail Antonio was trapped for around 45 minutes after the crash according to reports. I just hope he recovers both physically and mentally.

Last year when I overturned and wrote off my car, I was trapped upside down for five minutes with my foot stuck under the handbrake I think (it was pitch black dark in the car and outside at 6pm in February), it felt like five hours with the smell of burning and petrol. Hell on earth. The most horrifying thing I've been through. Thought the car was going to explode.

I agree with @clapham_gull. He might run out of luck one day. Michail, you've got a wife and kids to look after.

I’ve also seen unconfirmed reports that he was initially on a ventilator, the situation is still very serious and he’s suffered a double leg fracture and a compound fracture. There are fears he may never play again and the next 48 hours will be key to his recovery.

It’s hard to have too much sympathy for people that drive like that. Just fortunate no other car was involved or he could have killed someone.
Could you imagine if he had killed someone, think of his mental health.

Drive like what, exactly? You have no specific details of the conditions, speed, other road users, or potential issues with the car to come to a conclusion like that, IMO.

Nor is it really the time or place to be pontificating when the guy - regardless of what happened - is still in hospital!

He must be INCREDIBLY unlucky to have been involved in TWO write off car accidents within a couple of years

WHU just posted (on X) he is in a stable condition and communicating. Great news - hope he can make a full recovery.
Agreed - Great news indeed.

But may he have career ending injuries and is still in hospital.

The judgmental comments on this thread, while the poor bloke is lying in a hospital bed, without any knowledge of the circumstances of what happened is therefore a tad distasteful imo.

As @Durlston can testify, it is entirely possible to lose control of a car through no fault of your own - accidentally losing control of a car can be a traumatic experience even if you haven’t been seriously injured - Losing control of a car that has 700 hp under the hood, even more terrifying I imagine but I’m not going to speculate if he was speeding, driving carelessly or under the influence - that’s for the police to ascertain and report on in due course.
