West Ham say striker Michail Antonio has been involved in a traffic accident.

A statement from the club: "West Ham United can confirm striker Michail Antonio has today been involved in a road traffic accident.

"The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the club are with Michail, his family and friends at this time.

"The club will issue an update in due course."

Some 2+2= going on here possibly - looks bad whoever was involved...

Looks horrendous. Antonio always seems like one of football’s nice guys. Hopefully, whoever was in the car makes it through.

‘Thoughts and prayers’ is not good.

He’s just a young man. I hope he pulls through

Looks bad. To offer some hope, I’ve walked from such a car (though police couldn’t understand how I wasn’t killed, especially since pre airbags etc)

Doesn't look good, but hopefully he can recover and be back on the pitch in the future.

No doubt The West Ham faithful will be singing his name for ninety minutes on Monday night.

leg injuries was told
Truly awful for him and his family who will be praying for his recovery.

Wishing the Hammers all the best too as they deal with such shocking news.

Yeah sounds serious. The line in the statement saying 'his friends and family are with him' suggests bad injuries.
