Hi - not posted on here for a very long time...

Just wondered what people's latest thoughts on PI are?
It's currently listed as around £40/coin.

I have around a dozen people on here that are in my referral team but most haven't shown their faces for years (and I can't remember any of the user names).
You have to KYC soon to transfer your coins to mainnet.
May be worth looking into getting back into it as we could be sitting on a goldmine (though who knows, frankly!)

i had 15k in XRP in my portfolio from when it was over a 1.50 in 2021 and after holding it for 3 years and watch it bleed down to 35c dumped it in October 2023 and now the fing thing would be worth nearly 30k aaargh.
Just shows you only make a loss when you sell and but tried that with Luna and ended up with about $5 from 5k !
Crypto aint for the feint hearted

Buy and Hold its a simple, until its at a level you are looking to sell.
It will be worth 100k by the end of this bull run im afraid.

Dont jump in and out, its the golden rule.

So is this the positive vibes from Mr Trump’s election wearing thin, or the lull before another vibes based price inflation?

I haven’t seen that any of the coins I’m holding have found their way into vital parts of the global financial system, so assuming we’re still very much in “good vibes” territory?

Well, they're vital to the black economy: drug gangs, terrorists and money launderers...

True, people will always need drugs, it’s built into the product. I suspect there’s been quite high Russian inflows recently too, not to mention the Assad family’s net worth.

To be fair, Ripple is making a play for being a genuine alternative to SWIFT, but while various financial institutions are saying they’re involved, I’ve not been able to find any hard and fast data about transaction volumes. I don’t get the impression that SWIFT use is in massive decline atm.

I see this mentioned a lot — have a target price to sell. Sounds sensible but how do you decide on a target price? When Bitcoin was 30p, a few years back, no one would have said they were waiting till it hit £100k! More like £1. I’ve no idea what might be a good level to sell the XRP I bought a few months ago for 40p or so.

My strategy is to sell 25% of any coin to make a small profit, then let the remainder sit until it reaches a point where the value would make a big difference to my life.

Been doing this since 2017 and have trebled my initial investment and still have a nice portfolio of crypto.

this is where a good chart analysis guy really helps. The prices always hit FIB levels.
Chart guys still can differ with there opinions ofcourse.
Still it gives a good guide on when to get out if it follows previous patterns which they largely do.
But even then, sell when you are happy with the amount, and have achieved what you need.

Dont be gready.

I plan on selling most of mine before many as it will give me the return i need

depends if you have sold yet or not. And what you call wealthy.

Nothing has hit my targets as yet, but i am up nearly 5x on my investment in crypto at the moment.

If they dont hit my targets i wont sell.

Not until they successfully manage to cash in their magic beans for real money. Sadly there's not anywhere near enough liquidity in the market for all the shoeshine boys to do that
So you're telling me one can't sell, say, 20 bitcoin?

Well you might strike very lucky if you somehow manage to swerve the scams ('click this link'), the haircuts due to exchange 'being hacked', excessive endless KYC checks. Or maybe you just make a typo on your key and send your bitcoin into the wide blue yonder with no means of recourse. Good luck with transforming that number on your screen into something of real world value

:lolol: wouldn't ask THPP who's view of the crypto world is stuck in 2017. Microstrategy is buying >21k BTC a week at the moment, ETFs are hovering up hundreds of BTC a day, then there's the holdings against options and so on. thats cash from financial institutions going into BTC holders. yes, you could sell 20 BTC to cash and withdraw to bank in a few clicks.

is there liquidity for all BTC? of course not, just as there isn't for any large company stock.
