Starting a revolution from my bed
Should be really looking forward to this. Day off, meeting old workmates and a fellow mod or two in town, one of my favourite grounds with tons of good pubs.

Unfortunately my brain is just doomscrolling forward to walking back to Putney station in the pissing rain after another defeat up there.

Don't let it happen Albion!
My first thought this morning was ‘wear a pair of trainers you don’t mind getting wet/muddy’.

I've been giving this some serious thought and I think we need to have a couple of definite game plans:

Plan A: Keep it tight at the back, don't let them score but make sure we score at least 1 goal.

Or

Plan B: If they do score, make sure we score at least one more goal than them. I reckon our front three will be key if reverting to this strategy.

If either of these plans comes off, we should win.

Tbh, I reckon FH has already figured this out because even though he's really young, he seems to know a thing or two about football tactics.

Worthing
The bloke being so nice to the steward at the front really cracks me up

I went to that game as a bit of a family outing, with Mrs LLF, my son and his wife, and my daughter and her then fiancé.

My daughter isn’t the greatest football fan, in fact, she really doesn’t like it, but, her fiancé lived just round the corner, so, she decided to come with us.
When Dunky put the header in, everyone was going absolutely mental, even my DIL was jumping up and down, I looked at my daughter, she was still sat down, the only one I think in the entire stand with her arms crossed and a look of complete disdain on her face.

She really believes goals should only be celebrated by a polite round of applause.

I'm hoping my decision to not jinx the game by watching from home will be justified. Fulham despite the recent results is always a good away day, but hotfooting it up to the smoke after finishing work kind of takes the fun out of the day.

Really looking forward to it, albeit with great trepidation. Fulham are a decent side in good form, much like ourselves can't stop scoring but also can't stop conceding, should be a good game.

You mean the RB who set up our only goal and looked more of a threat in the first 45 minutes than Veltman has all season?

And having our best midfielder back will always help. Not to state the obvious, of course.
There’s a lot of people on this thread ‘stating the obvious’ - as I said, having Baleba back just when Fulham’s MF is suffering will be a key - we are all entitled to voice an opinion.

I acknowledged Lamptey‘s assist in the match thread at the time and have no issues with him going forward or the attacking aspect of his game. But: as a RFB without the pace he had before serious injury he is struggling to reach the level we need - he is still pacy and progresses the ball well/has an attacking attitude which FH loves ( and can put in decent crosses) but running back, ie being a Full Back he just does not have the speed anymore sadly imo, nor the confidence/timing to tackle big forwards in defence. He comes behind Veltman, Hinsh even Webster for a RFB imo. However, as a lateral MF player maybe he could offer a lot more?

I love Lamptey, always have but the truth of the matter, since a career impacting injury, he will have a fight to get starts in this squad which is incredibly sad given the very promising start to his career as a Premier League player.

Looking forward to this and feeling confident. 1-3 Albion. Put right that defensive shambles in March week before Roma trip.
Started early with a nice Gunness in Berwick street.
Have to say central London now is dark, wet, crowded, and grim. Feel like I am on the set of Blade runner.

Very quiet here at The Amex. Record low attendance?
