@stewart12 personal opinions eh? In my years following Peacehaven, Eastbourne United was my least favourite ground, although I did like the Coronation Street style surroundings that gave it a northern ground feeling on leaving.
Absolutely, the setting of the ground is fantastic. I hadn't been pre refurb so don't know what it was like before but it's certainly a decent ground now (although not a colossal amount of character as it's all quite new and polished)

I went there about 5 years back and it was an average looking non league ground with a couple of metal stands and clubhouse that looked tired but was a decent size.
Wooden fencing around the rest of the ground and i noticed the original oval shape behind the fence.
There are a few photos online of the old stands and when the ground was an oval.

Half non league but as this is a sort of ground hoppers thread i’m sticking this here.

Me and the boy went to AFC Wimbledon v Dagenham (1-2)

I’ll keep it short.

A great Saturday night out, friendly people, really nice club, good atmosphere and songbook, plenty of food options (pie meal was a tenner but as football food goes possibly the best I’ve ever had) plenty of beer options and a pub …. (pauses for air)….INSIDE the ground.
Well worth a visit if you’ve never been. View attachment 193162
I assume those pies were bought outside the stadium.

In a pile of football shirts
I hear Kevin Green is the new Haywards Heath manager
Has that been confirmed? Gutted that he left Steyning though heard there were underlying circumstances that necessitated his leaving.

Managed to get two more in today.

CF Montañesa in the Spanish 5th Tier, had a bit of a South American vibe to it, so not sure if there is a connection there.

Then headed north to Terrassa to watch them take on Sant Andreu in the same league as Europa. Great atmosphere at both games, really enjoyable trip taking in grounds 286, 287, 288 and 289.

I do believe you may have met my mate Bobby - a Norwich fan - at one of these matches, too!

Not sure it’s been officially confirmed but “inside info “ tells me it’s happened. I wasn’t at their match last Saturday to see who was running the team. His appointment will be of no great surprise to those who have seen him at several HHeath matches this season.

Yes I did! Went to his bar in Gracia, had a few pints there (I think, memory is hazy at this point). Made the day all the more enjoyable, very interesting to ask about a few of the intricacies of Barcelona as a city, great company. Small world isn’t it really, especially getting Norwich in the cup as well on Monday.

Very small world, especially considering we met in Poland, were flatmates in NZ, and now reside on different continents 😅

Anyway - love the pics. Keep the adventures flowing!

Dorking Wanderers ‘B’ vs. Banstead in the SCFL Division One Cup last night.

Obviously it’s the best ground in the SCFL by some distance two terraces behind one goal and a large stand on the near side.

Dorking ran out very comfortable 8-2 winners. After leading 2-0 at half time (they scored right on 45 minutes), they proceeded to be 6-0 up by the 55th minute.

Very comfortable game, the highlight was the Assistant Referee getting wiped out in a slide tackle with two other players.
