[Albion] If Ferguson is now worth £51m, maybe Hürzeler might consider letting him play?

What about West Ham as a possible destination?
West Ham signed Fullkrug in the summer for £27.5m and he's managed only 63 minutes in the league so far owing to injury. I could see them going for Evan so as not to be reliant on Antonio and Ings but we would be gambling on a) Fullkrug recovering later rather than sooner and b) them not being in the race for Europe, which they could well end up being if Evan's loan turned out to be a success.

If his 'drop' in form is purely confidence then sure a loan to a top championship team would help not sure playing in a PL relegation threatened team would help. If the issue goes back to his physical issues (playing with an injury and/or long covid(or similar) ) then going out on loan might be best as he would be seen as expendable by the loaning club.

Personally would look to give him more game time and not just the last 5-10 mins and also game time with via the U21s.

At the end of the day the club should know more about what's going on and the best solution.

Is it possible to recall Mark o'Mahony as he doesn't seem to be getting much game time at Portsmouth?

Its a bit catch 22. We would want his loan to be a success, which would mean improving any teams league position. Ipswich are only 6 points behind West Ham, so if he went there and had a successful loan, they could then be considered a threat?
We want him to go to a team that need a striker short term and will be playing attacking football . I think West Ham are one of the few teams that fit the bill.

Surely every club in the premiere league is a probable rival for Europe. If they are in the same league as us the probability of them rivalling us for Europe will never be none.
Not all , think the bottom 4 or 5 would struggle , not impossible though. the league is certainly more open than it has ever been.

The £51m is just paper talk, no one knows what he's worth to us other than Tony Bloom.

But if he was to play who is he going to play ahead of? At the moment he needs to prove he deserves to be starting in front of Danny Welbeck or that we adjust our formation and drop someone else to accommodate him.
its not even prove he deserves to Play. Until Danny either gets injured or form falls off there is literally nothing Evan can do to get into the side on a perm basis, Same applies for Simon, Julio, Gruda etc... its a tough gig when the starting 11 are doing so well.

Leicester can not loan him, he would not get the minutes at Wolves or Ipswich (IMO). I dont think we would loan to Palace, or Palace would loan a player from Brighton. Which leaves Southampton and I dont think going there would help his development. Next in league are Everton that have 3 strikers, then next is West Ham who need a short term option to cover the injuries they have and manage the minutes of an aging Antonio.

1, the one thing West Ham won't be doing this season is finishing high enough in the table to get into Europe (feel free to bounce this if they do but, if you really believe that they will, let's have a bet and some charity can get the winnings from the loser)
2, loanees don't play against parent clubs
3, most importantly, EF would strengthen WH which will enable them to take more points off the clubs challenging for Europe

So, yes, yes it is a great idea.
I don't bet. Anyway:

1. WHU are 7 points behind us after 12 games and still to play us twice.
2. They are capable of beating us twice with or without Evan (as are we of beating them)
3. Or help them finish above us.

Perhaps if the gap is a lot more than 7 points come Jan 1st then maybe, but I think it's an unneccessary risk.

Loan him to a top Championship side or abroard or keep him. I would not loan him to another EPL side.

Personally it sounds like a stupid idea, Welbeck isn’t exactly prolific and injury prone. Fergie should start Friday IMO no need to keep playing Welbeck. The minute he goes on loan we know what will happen Welbeck or Pedro injured.
Unless a striker is coming in from elsewhere of course.
Can a loan be structured so that a Club can immediately recall a player at anytime if required ?

Recalls outside of the transfer window are not permitted for any player.

There is an exception for goalkeepers and you’d need to a) have a recall clause in the loan deal and b) have the FA and Premier League agree to the recall under emergency recall rules.

Would it not also be the case for a) that both sides can agree to cancel a loan without a cancellation clause, given that the clause is there in service to the parent club?

I believe a cancellation can be agreed upon by both parties outside of the window without a pre agreed clause. Recalls have to be pre agreed.

However the players registration would still be with the club he’s been loaned too and cannot be transferred back to us outside of the transfer window. Therefore the player would still be unable to play for us.

With the option of a recall of a goalkeeper in an emergency that would have to have been pre agreed.

If within the loan agreement a loan deal can be cancelled at any time by either club.

Yes, I knew the second bit, I was just pointing out that both sides can agree to cancel a loan at any time without there being a clause in the contract someone needs to activate.

Yeah please get off Welbecks back, he has been brilliant for the club and continues to perform at an exceptionally high level.

No, not in the way that the player can play for the parent club. There can be mutual agreement that the player will return home because they're not going to play because of injury or illness and it's to everyone's that they recover 'at home'. This happened, I believe, to Sima and Offiah in recent years - they were still officially on loan though.

When a player is on loan if they suffer an injury it is almost always the case that they’ll return to their parent club for treatment, at least for an initial assessment. This has nothing to do with any loan cancellation or recall clauses and if they recover they can return to play for their loan club.

It's nice list of potential suitors in rumour land: Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Rangers, Celtic, Sunderland, Leeds, Millwall, Burnley, Leicester. I may have missed a dozen.
