That sounds like the Albion Roar podcast. I don’t know which one, but there’s one of the presenters that constantly interrupts his co-presenter and guests. I find myself shouting ‘let him f***ing speak!’ sometimes.
Yes, he's so rude - constantly talking over everyone else.

I've stopped listening to it now.

I gave the pod a go for a while and rapidly grew bored by the lack of insight. Binned it completely when they reviewed a match and one of them hadn't even watched the match yet. Though I admire the arrogance to think you still have something to offer from watching 3 minutes of highlights.

Is there a good Albion Pod? I've tried a few but not found a particularly good one yet

I think this season more than any other we've gone under hyped. But there's a few good reasons for this. We haven't got a standout player to hype beyond Welbeck, nobody quote knows our style, and the league is very tight. Win the next couple though and I'm sure we'll be all over it again.
Unbelievable. As someone else has pointed out, Pedro and Mitoma are both fantastic players, the latter the best in his position and Pedro will be in demand. Baleba is earning massive praise from many pundits and probably will follow a similar path (although hopefully different destination) to Caicedo.

Personally, I don't give a flying fig about recognition from media, pundits etc. I'm currently watching what I believe to be the best ever Albion team ever. I'd rather we stayed under the radar right up until the last game of the season when we will still be in with a shout for honours.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if going into the last month of the season the media suddenly started saying “they couldn’t could they?”

Other things being equal we could argue we are a shanked gakpo cross from being 3 points off the top 😃 (because if gakpo cross doesn’t go in then salah doesn’t score as Liverpool capitulate).

Yes I am dreaming and no I am not really being serious but if we don’t at least qualify for Europe this year I will be disappointed.

I am going to slap a tenner on us winning the cup.

You mean the old 'too good to go down'?

I don’t think there’s any emotional bias here at all - maybe a regional one since the largest clubs are from London or up North? IMO - It’s all about the money. The content of printed and tv/radio media is generally very tightly controlled by the programme editors, who are themselves towing whatever line the owners require - that line is without fail, the audience and/or revenue - With richest clubs having the most expensive (newsworthy) players and of course the largest fan bases (advertising revenue/audience figures), it’s hardly surprising both print and tv/radio media follow the money.

There was a reason why Citeh, Arse, Liverpool, Spurs, Man U and Spurs were consistently top 6 Clubs - because they are the richest clubs in the League, simple as. We can probably add Newcastle and AV to that growing list now. Most seasons we get a smaller breakthrough club into the top 6, who’s had a particularly good season and finishes in the top 6/7 and/or one or two of the richest clubs do not. Last season Chelsea and Man U struggled but overall, over the course of seasons, it levels out - the richest clubs finish highest in the league.

With something like 40% of the EPL looking for new investors and owners and Saudi Arabia wanting to invest, the ‘richest 6’ will become the richest 9 or 10 and it will get harder for us to compete for top half places imo even with PSR.

We had a great finish in 2022/3 and will very possibly match it this season but it won’t be sustainable long term, not with more and more Saudi money coming into the League - we simply are not rich enough to compete for Europe every season and certainly not for a Champions place but I do envisage us having one or two breakthrough seasons in the next decade. When that happens, we’ll be the story but unless that happens we won’t.

I'm a Brighton fan. I want Brighton to win. I remember getting SO excited when Football Focus did a feature on Bobby Zamora and I lost my mind that we were being talked about.

With all that bias in mind, I still think we get spoken about LOADS. We are always the point of reference for well run clubs. We are always featured on things like Monday Night Club, Guardian Football Weekly, Football Ramble. Barber is a constant guest on 5Live and Talksport.

And still some think people don't talk enough about us or give us recognition. Honestly, if I didn't support us I'd find it SO boring.

Sorry, i mean we haven't had too many stand out individuals this season. We have some amazing players!

Be gone with your logical thinking!
