That was in my mind as well. Every team doubles up against Mitoma who is obviously our biggest threat. City didn't do this assuming Walker could handle him. He couldn't! he ripped a new one and no-one helped him. I doubt they will make that mistake again.
Walker's recent decline is perhaps a significant factor in City's quality (along with a lack of their Welsh midfield general).

I like crowd noise for atmosphere, but don’t need inane or overtly biased commentary to tell me what I can see perfectly well with my own eyes.

Amazon Prime coverage has the option for stadium sounds but no commentary. One of the reasons it’s my favourite broadcaster for football. Shame they have so few matches

It was notable how Werner burnt Walker for pace for Spurs fourth yesterday. Maybe time has finally caught up with him.

Saints are the only team worse than Palace, surely?

Wolves are actually alright, and Ipswich have the ability to stay in games, and fight doggedly when required.

Leicester are shyte and may drop with enough injuries.. but it's looking really, really grim for our friends in SE25.

Oh PLEASE let this be the year.
I agree with that analysis.

For what it’s worth, I think Palace didn’t spend too much over the summer in transfer fees because they are squirrelling away a fund for their new stand. However, Parish may need to literally ‘gamble the house’ in January to get some proper quality in.

They only have a handful of quality ‘top half’ players who have been injured recently but teams like Wolves had a lot more quality than our Croydon neighbours.

Nah. Before Ferguson's injury he was off the scale good and when he's firing on all cylinders he'll be our next £100m player.
A big headache for Fab is knowing Welbeck's form and fitness cannot continue forever, and neither can leaving Fergie on the bench. I fancy the festive Christmas period will present Evan with his opportunity.

On Friday, the traditional Albion thing to do would be to help out a team that's on a bad run. Will we break the mould this time, I wonder? Feels like we're getting more ruthless. And hearing us described by the plucky manager yesterday as 'more clinical' sounded very unlike us. ???
Isn’t our Friday night record decent? I thought it was our Monday night record that sucks arse.

Yes and just the sort we normally spot , but he is one of their academy lads and they`ll want to hold on to him :(

They nearly lost him to Chelsea, he left Southampton at 16 in July 2022 and joined Chelsea with an offer of a pro contract when he turned 17. He couldn't settle at Chelsea and returned to Southampton after just two games in September 2022.

Thanks for that (y) they were lucky to get him back , from what i saw he looked strong and quick with decent feet - maybe when they get relegated :lolol:
