The fans never wanted him there from day 1, for obvious reasons.

His face didn't fit.
This is the key piece. I know performances matter, but the simple fact is that the fans were always waiting for him to fail. That tension was never going to be helpful.

I suspect that even if he'd kept them up he'd have struggled to Garner many plaudits amongst their fan base.

Well Leicester fans seem happy and are speculating:

Will it be Potter? Or David Moyes? Will it be Robins or van Nistelrooy?

Will it be mushrooms, fried onion rings....

Managers of certain clubs probably only need to commit to short term rents when they join.

Another daft decision.
The daft decision was appointing him in the first place. Was unpopular from the off.

Potter might be a decent appointment, if he fancies it. Similar sized club to us. He probably thinks he's too big for them now though.

The timing suggests that they have someone lined up. They have also got rid of some of Cooper’s back room staff; the kind of roles that Potter likes to bring with him.

“Assistant manager Alan Tate and first-team coach and analyst Steve Rands have also left the club.”

Just stuck £10 on Potter at 4/1.

I think he’ll be there for Brentford.

Why the hell would he want that? I'm sure he's turned down better options.
I’ve said before that he is living a millionaire lifestyle in Hove. He doesn’t need to work again. It has to be an offer he can’t refuse imo. Come on, he’s 49 and doesn’t really need it. Not sure I could be arsed/

Clearly Potter’s alleged £600,000 after deductions from Chelsea every last Thursday in the month must have some kind of time limit, but his next job is the most important of his career, if he succeeds Chelsea was a blip, if he fails that’s him effectively done in top level football.

Is the Leicester job too much of a gamble?

Potter’s payoff ended last month, coinciding with him being linked to a few jobs and regular appearances as a pundit for Sky etc.

You forget that there were more than a few on here championing Cooper as RDZ’s replacement!
