Seen it now, Baleba got caught by the Bournemouth player's follow through, have a look at it again.Agree to disagree then. Sorry it was a foul but not a booking. Look at it another way, he was always going to rack up 5 booking at some point. Southampton H not the worst game to miss!
Exactly what I went through - couldn't understand why he hadn't passed it to one of the other frontrunners, till Mitoma appeared on the screem! It's one of those that you can see coming in the stadium but on TV I was like, "what fùck are doi...whoah"
How can it be an honest decision to book someone for a foul he has not seen?I'm saying he called what he thought he saw. Turns out it was wrong, but his eyes don't have the benefit of other angles and replays and the yellow removed VAR as a safety net.
It may have been wrong, but it was an honest decision to me
Hope the result perks you up a tad!Nope, I went to bed early, feeling a bit moby.
Woke up to a good result, though still not well.
MoTD conclusion as well.Just seen the 2nd yellow. Wow. Very very soft. If that’s a yellow, then every single foul is a yellow. Barely even touches the Bournemouth player.
25 times right isn’t that bad thenHe said the same thing 25 times
Baleba got sent off for the offence of being on a football pitch no other reason.
I disagree with you. 'Harsh yellow' makes it sound like it was a foul by Baleba, but the yellow was questionable, but in my opinion it wasn't a foul by Baleba. He didn't go in for a tackle from a distance, he stayed on his feet and ran across while his opponent went to ground.
Delighted we won, but I feel we're getting too many bad decisions, and Baleba missing against Southampton could cost us more points.
MoTD conclusion as well.
It certainly did, that and some laxative !!Hope the result perks you up a tad!
It was great to see McConville on the bench!Wasn’t at the game but curious how Evan contributed after coming off the bench. Would bringing on McConville for Welbeck notwithstanding his inexperience and switching to a back five as we did at SJP have helped avoid conceding the consolation goal?
Did what was expected of him - held the ball up well, harried in midfield. To the blokes stood near me slagging him off for not pressing their keeper, we were down to 10 so isolating himself with a pointless lone press would have left a gap in the middleWasn’t at the game but curious how Evan contributed after coming off the bench. Having watched it on MOTD I really can’t see the foul. He doesn’t make a tackle, he’s just running.Agree to disagree then. Sorry it was a foul but not a booking. Look at it another way, he was always going to rack up 5 booking at some point. Southampton H not the worst game to miss!
This is something I like about us this season. It feels like there have been a few games where we haven’t been the better team but we have been the more clinical team.Brilliant result. It wasn't an excellent performance, but collecting another three points shows the amazing fighting spirit of this team. Our defending was great, Pedro and Mitoma were clinical and we also had a little bit of luck! Disappointing with Baleba, but I'm sure this team will achieve something special this season. UTA!
Quite easily, from the angle he was at, it looked like a foul and a second yellow. As I've already said twice, he called what he saw (and having seen replays, Baleba did actually catch the player)How can it be an honest decision to book someone for a foul he has not seen?
