Tbh, with Weiffer and O'Riley on the bench, probably should have taken him off.

If Baleba was headstrong and not able to navigate being on a yellow, you might have a point, but Baleba is our best player in that position and he didn't commit a yellow card offence, the ref is simply incompetent

I've said it before and I'll say it again. When a second yellow is given resulting in a red, VAR should be allowed to be intervene.
I don't disagree, because obviously it majorly changes the course of a game, but...

Refs have pretty broad discretion when it comes to yellows. We've all seen yellows given as a result of accumulated smaller fouls rather than one particularly bad offense. Usually that's not what they do on a second yellow, granted, but do you have VAR review every pervious incident to decide if this was worth a yellow?

And either way, Baleba's wasn't even a foul.
