I've just had a mention on Caroline Flashback! Only taken 60 years.Caroline sailed along the Channel to moor off the Isle of Man. Radio London took over the southern broadcasts.

Oooh Really envious - must have been a great experience seeing where the magic takes placeTicked off the last of my Bucket List items last Sunday by visiting the Ross Revenge, the second and current Radio Caroline ship.
If you're of a certain age and remember the station, well worth the trip. 5 hour round car trip and 1.5 hour on board but so glad I did it. Putting the ship together to broadcast isn't just a matter of throwing in a couple of decks and a DJ. 300 tons of cement went into the hull to correct the 300 foot mast from tipping over! All the old gear is still there. Yes, she's a rust bucket now, but still it's Radio Caroline.View attachment 192617View attachment 192616
