[Albion] Stand or Fall

Strange, they are greats. Especially odd re: Tim Carder given he's still on the scene. Does anyone know how Liz is these days?
I saw her a couple of weeks ago in Lancing. She’s doing ok for a woman in her 80s.
I did spot Sarah in the film but felt they left a glaring gap especially when talking about the two years at Gillingham, and the bus.
There was also the battle to allow us to play at Withdean.

Hard to cram nearly 30 years into an hour and 45 mins. Wish it had been longer or split into episodes so things could have been covered in more detail.

My opinion, they could’ve skipped the Hyypia section.

Liz is ok, she attended a match at the end of last season , she won’t be attending regularly anymore ( she never got over Sarah ) but she’s spending time with the grandkids etc

Out of curiosity, was it discussed/mentioned by anyone present what the delay was in actually finally releasing it?

Was surprised to only find one comment from @attila but when it came, by jingo, he was spot on. I’ve always felt it’s impossible to top that afternoon in Hereford. At the time, we didn’t know it would be another 14 years of hard slog. Right then, we’d been through the mother of all battles and made it out the other side. I simply cannot imagine feeling such pure, unconfined, unrestrained, unconditional joy as I did in that instant.

The desire to splice in the European Tour I would assume. 1997 - 2022 would have been a neat (and compelling) 25 years, but once we started threatening Europe, well...you can't leave that out can you ?

Appetite truly whetted. Roll on Sunday.

Given the time of year this has been released, one would imagine it will at least be in the club shop and your stocking by Easter.

Im waiting for the directors cut feeturing GUPPY SAUNDERS when he and I takes the Milllllllwall home end single handled as well as less soppy nonsense and more tear ups from some of the top boys such as Chopper West, Terry the Trainspotter and the MCCarthy brothers who have been whitewashed out of the history of the Albion by the WOKE MINED VIRUS.

Regards

The night before the showing of the uncut version a few from the falmer for all /BISA/ Bring Home the albion group had a meet up. Liz (and John) and other legends were there inc Roz, Atilla, Paul Samrah, Tim Carder, Dick Knight, Martin Perry and Paul Camillin as well as some of the not so well known but just as hard working legends like Bill and Jan Swallow, John Cowan, Peter and Wendy Near without whom and many others, nothing would have been achieved.

It was wonderful to see them. Age has caught up with all of us and having lost such legends as Ed Bassford, Sarah Watts, Roy Chuter and Paul Welch (and at least 3 others who without advances in medical science maybe wouldn't be here today) we should perhaps do it more often.

I do know that there was something like 400hrs of interviews, voice overs etc done and some people turned down the offer /request to take part. There will be others who weren't asked who maybe should have been. But that this thread still references them and the esteem they are held in is in itself, a superb tribute
