Decent 1st half from England considering everything. Dominating possession (66%) and chances. Madueke's having a great game.

Bellingham's not likely to be subbed, so perhaps at some point Angel Gomes will replace Gallagher who's a mistimed tackle away from a red.

I don’t generally watch international football outside of the Euros and World Cup, simply because I like a break. But with the Albion winning before the international break, I’ve been Jonesing for anything so this’ll do.

Not bad actually, kept the ball well.

The pitch is dreadful, with the ball bobbling and bouncing along on the surface.

Kyle Walker has been appalling going forward and is all over the shop defensively as per Saturday against us. He looks a shadow of the player he was.

Nicely taken goal, but Watkins should’ve done better at the end of the half there.

We’ve seen much much worse, not least against Greece, but would like us to put in a few more crosses - Walker is point blank refusing to cross even with men in the box and time and space.

Tuchel will be pleased
I don't see why we need him? This is an accomplished away performance, we've been all over them, they haven't had a sniff

I can't see what we lack in terms of team selection, tactics, formation where Tuchel would make any difference

does anyone look at this England display and think the team needs improvement by a foreign coach? no, me neither

Is it just me, or does this pitch look really narrow?
You might be right.

I remember a dreadful 0-0 draw with Tunisia years ago. Our wingers, Chris Waddle and John Barnes were rubbish. Then someone pointed out that the Tunisians had made the pitch narrower than usual.

Apparently England have only lost to a team twice in the same calendar year on four occasions.

Of course, I HAVE to work this out. I was thinking that we may have lost to Italy twice in 1976, and Croatia might be in there. Dunno. Any thoughts ? Ah, Belgium 2018. That's for sure. Italy 1990 ?

Is everyone else adding “and pliers” to the keeper’s name every time it’s mentioned or is it just me?
We can take Tzolis in the knowledge there are puns everywhere tonight.
