He was fascinating on Leading, The Rest Is Politics spin-off podcast. I'm not religious in any way but he came across as just the sort of political person the CoE needed to keep that broad church together, and also (obviously) seemed to have his heart in the right place (particularly with coming out against the Rwanda policies).
Yes. He had a lot to say about a lot of things. Apart from paedos in the church, of course. Good riddance.

Will be interesting to see who he is replaced by. The CofE is massively split on the issue of same sex marriage. There will be huge pressure from the influential conservative wing to appoint a traditionalist which will put back cause of equality by years.

Should they appoint before their Cup Final, or wait till after Xmas?

And should Netanyahu get a vote?

To hide these crimes is as bad as committing them. The ability to highlight and stop further abuse is paramount. Institutions such as the BBC, the CofE etc are vehicles that allow these monsters to do their evil deeds.

The whole lot disgusts me.

According to the latest figures I could find only 1.3% of the population attend church every Sunday and 5.4% of marriages take place in a church. I’d suggest that the church and whatever they think is totally irrelevant to most people.

Couldn't agree more. But, the continued failure of the Anglican church to recognise same sex relationships is appalling for those who wish to be a part of the church but are excluded and is a good reason for disestablishment.

While I'm sure that's an issue for some, the main one is most people are of the view it's a load of old tosh.

Another reason why they shouldn’t have a voice in parliament.

Er, no I haven’t and really I don’t care that much as you’re asserting. It’s nothing to do with me (or you I might add), was merely a passing comment on a football chat board that frankly no one close to this story is probably ever going to read or care about.
Well I too also read it that you were trying to deflect attention by saying that good people would now be 'demonised' and that most abuse happens in families. However I'll accept that you just chose your words badly.

There’s so much about the Church which reinforces my desire to be an Atheist. Rotten to the core in my personal opinion.
Very hard to disagree. They all attempt to defend their actions and more so their beliefs.
