Apologies for not making myself clear. The club have only released the front 20 rows or so of the upper tiers so there are still some 1200 seats up there yet to be available.

Is that true? Why on earth would they hold those seats back as this has always sold out. I assumed those tickets further back had already sold.

Haywards Heath
The idea of driving to Stratford strikes me as madness. Even from Brighton I would recommend what is easy for me, drive to Ebbsfleet (the parking is cheap) and take the high speed train to Strafford International which takes 10 minutes. Then it is a walk. There will be hundreds of Kent based Hammers doing the same so it will be impossible to get lost on the final leg.

I would train it all the way from Brighton only if drinking. And consequently the Jubbly line won't be lovely, standing only, with hot beery breath de rigeur. But there again, I dislike travel.

Edit I see @mrjon1976 beat me to it

Yeah, I agree it is likely more hassle to drive but I cannot stand packed trains and tubes TBH - with my young lad in tow it just makes the experience unenjoyable to the point of not bothering.

Haywards Heath to Stratford International with a change at St Pancras’s looks fairly straightforward but it’s just the busyness of it!

I can deal with being stuck in traffic with a comfy chair, the heating and a podcast on! Plus the girls of the family would likely come along for a few hours in Westfields similar to the QPR pre-season.

I will stop highjacking the thread but appreciate your advice. Doesn’t look like it will make it as far as out priority will allow anyway!

Once we got to the station it was OK, it took about 30 minutes to get there though, stewards with stop/go boards etc. In terms of elapsed time probably no worse than getting on a train from the Amex but I rate the Amex as bad for that.

My main problem with their corporate bowl is I remember Upton Park, which was a proper, if a bit scary, football ground.
One of my greatest away memories was going to the pub next door to the old ground, was taken there by a WH mate. The atmosphere was something else - like you stepped into a time warp into the past like that Nicholas Lyndhurst sitcom

Absolutely it is, as to why? Well who can fathom the vagaries of our ticketing section. Normally they open the upper one whole block at a time but you can at least give them some credit for making all the front rows available to higher tier buyers. It also means that for an absolute certainty the whole allocation will be ours as they cannot put west ham fans behind us in the upper tiers.........or can they?:D

If it is being released block by block across the allocation i would 100% agree but in this instance all blocks are open and they are releasing from the front backwards which i have not noticed being done here before.
P.S. glad you are sorted and are going.
