Gary Lineker is to step back from presenting Match of the Day until an agreement is reached on his social media use - BBC statement.
It follows an impartiality row over comments he made criticising the government's new asylum policy.
In a tweet, the presenter had compared the language used by the government to set out its plan to "that used by Germany in the 30s".

Of course not, you can always scrounge off the people who do pay the licence
A bit like when a Union has negotiated a higher pay rise with the employer - I've always felt that the non-union members should receive what was first offered instead of relying on enough people like me to pay the subscriptions to benefit them.

Where I work the non-members complain on the message board at how frustrating it is they have to wait for their pay rises while the Union gets them agreed on their behalf

End of the season for Mr Lineker.

He’s had a good run, but it’s felt a bit tired to me over the last couple of seasons.

I wonder who’s next, and whether they change the format at all.

He's been great. Des was a tough act to follow.

Steve Pariah would be the prefect replacement. Fans of every single club love him don't you know?

Mark Chapman would be good IMHO

Although Alex Scott would be fun to keep the Daily Mash gnashing it’s teeth in fury

I think there is no one in the MOTD team who can step up to be the main host, expect the BBC to lean towards using a more" journalistic " presenter, and cheap like Chappers, Pougatch or Gabby Yorath.

This, with bells on.

But that proviso would have undermined Thatcher's plot to destroy the unions.

Or rotating wannabe ex players such as Alex Scott, Danny Murphy and Alec Scott.
