[Music] Reasonble punishment for anyone playing or singing a long with "Freed from Desire"?

I think I’d prefer the uplifting Brighton’s Piranhas singing ‘Tom Hark’ than a depressing Morrisey sounding like a wet Sunday 😉

Well not at the South end anyway

I think it's probably out of date now (thank f*ck).🙂

Actually you might be onto something if it's played when we loose, it might remind people how far we've come in less than 20 years & help the 'yoof' to understand! 😁
I have just thought to make sure people in the train queue don't hear it, but at the same time have just thought that maybe some music while in the queue would make it less dismal. Is there going to be music in the new 'bar' thing?

Following on from my previous (previous) post, I have found myself as a passenger in a moving (private) vehicle recreating my Amex moves if this comes on the radio. I was chuffed the other day as we got to a traffic light that went red on the 'huuh' bit. :lolol:
Can't do the Proclaimers Billy Gilmour bit anymore in the vehicle if that comes on. I don't understand why I'm not allowed more of a say on the music that's played in the vehicle! 🤔

Actually I was suggesting Tom Hark for when we lose ie instead of your suggestion of the Morrisey track for when we lose which I personally find a bit morose but more importantly has no connection to Brighton.

The YouTube clip you posted wasn’t the original version of Tom Hark obviously so the Piranhas version isn’t out of date as a song.

Happy with FFD or Praise You for when we win.

Anyway, way past my sleep time and think you may have misunderstood my post anyway so goodnight.😴

I meant the 'we want Falmer' version was out of date as we have it. The Morrisey track was a joke, I don't want to be listening to gloomy songs if we lose. 🙂

I’m nearly 63 and I love it ….. I guess that statement supports your feelings on it rather than the music 😂😂😂

It was a weird final whistle yesterday, shite music blaring not even giving the fans a chance to show a proper send off. I remember a 5.30 in the championship and all four stands singing the Bruno song after the final whistle fantastic it was.
This.

I find it pretty irritating that they think immediately breaking into some pounding generic dance music after the final whistle is preferable to letting us belt out some Albion songs.

Surely in this day and age of ever greater separation between the fans (sorry, customers) and multi millionaire players, they would want to encourage connection?

I'm convinced that the reason the players rarely bother to come close to the stands any more and march straight off is because we're just waving our arms to freed from bloody desire.

Sorry to sound miserable, the club are incredible and I realise I'm perhaps in the minority, but the introduction of post game music just really annoys me!

I remember my Uncle, in the 60s, moaning about the smell of food at a The Goldstone Ground 😂 Funny how times change …

Also FFD was from the RDZ era, you are right the players look bored with it now.

The lumpen will celebrate to anything, so from their perspective it doesn't matter. But Sea Cider - and I would wager thousands others - are quite right to call for something Albion related (or nothing at all).

Are you referring to :

1) The Lumpen, who were the Black Panthers official house band - power to the people and all that?
or
2) Lumpenproleteriat, the underclass of class consciousness according to the theory of Marx? o_O
