Bad first half for Brighton. Arsenal are on it this evening and have finished well but we haven't helped ourselves by sitting off them and giving away the ball too often. If it wasn't for Baggerley we'd be 5 down at least!

5-0. Ouch.

More goals conceded tonight than in the other 6 games combined.

lol does it count as a massive advance in equality that we are now doing this needy, dumb “Glenn Murray didn’t acknowledge us” shit to the women as well

It wouldn’t have taken much to come over though would it. Appreciate they got thumped but plenty of us stayed to the end expecting the players to at least come over, it’s the given thing to do.

Bit out of order though, isn’t it. I appreciate they’re gutted with the result, but I personally think the players should always clap the away fans. It is part of the bonding between players and fans.

And this might seem a little patronising, but women’s football thrives off the family friendly environment, open days, meet and greets - general accessibility which isn’t in the PL men’s game. They should be doing everything possible to nurture that relationship and win fans for life in what is a relatively young sport at a decent level.

Our fullbacks didn't turn up today and Arsenal were too good. Agree with the posts above about it being extra disappointing that the 200 or so in the away end weren't acknowledged. Basic PR, surely.

Anyway, was always going to be tough despite our amazing start. Arsenal are miles better since the manager change and we haven't faced many of the top sides yet. Just a shame it was a mauling.

Who'da thunk it. Go top of the league if we win. You'd think no one gave a crap.

It's like the US election. The women FEEL neglected and are reacting.

For anyone wanting to support another local women's team, Saltdean United are away to Fulham at Craven Cottage tomorrow afternoon in a top of the table clash in the London & South East Regional Division. Both sides have a 100% win record in the league this season. Last season I went to the away fixture which Fulham won 4 or 5-1, so Saltdean have obviously upped their game.
