Post-match Lewes bound no clicker counting and no restriction on numbers on platform. I mentioned this to two police officers on the platform and they said its up to railway staff. Is it? You watch people pile on dangerous over-crowding and do nothing.

Two police men were walking a youngish looking lad back up the concourse away from the station after the match. He looked pretty spooked and Ill. Thought he may have been spooked and feeling crushed.

I saw that too. But I assume he’d lost his parents? Not sure how old he was mind, maybe just looked younger than he was

Possibly. His face was completely white though and he had the policeman's jacket on.

Just a matter of time till there’s a serious accident at falmer station
I fear this too. Some underground stations have barriers at the end of the platform. Doors open in line with tube doors. This must be possible at Falmer. Cost? It could save a life. Who pays? I argue the club have a moral responsibility here arguing for the stadium at Amex and train set-up. Perhaps it could be sponsered?

I usually find it harder and more crushed getting a train to the game rather than after it, especially if I'm getting on at Lewes

There should be a full on review with all stakeholders so good to see the issue being raised by MPs with the club. Weekends tend to be better for obvious reason of more staggered travel times and more/longer trains. But queue management at Falmer and Brighton needs looking at as an accident waiting to happen.

As I keep banging on about, the club needs to set up a third and even a forth P&R option, work with partners on shuttle bus options, manage the queues better at Falmer and lobby Govia to seek better evening train options.

They were 100% clicker counting on the Lewes bound platform when I went through. Saw the chap doing it.

FFS surprised the shouting stroppy woman on the old bridge at Falmer station after the match hasn’t been mentioned on this thread.
She didn’t need a microphone, I thought she was going to have a complete meltdown and storm off at one point. Well over the top.

I would like to know are the stewards in hi-vis qualified in anything related to transport or Customer Care / Services.
They never seem to have a working knowledge of the job they are paid to do. Whatever that might be?

Just far enough away from LDC

GTR seem to think that the Liverpool cup tie was the only issue. It may be straw that broke the camel's back but it is an awful experience every midweek and most weekends. That's the reason I pay significantly for the seagull travel bus

Shame to read about the young lad on the eastbound side because Brighton route was fine yesterday.

Tube trains are always a standard length, wouldn't work with the variety of train options we get at Falmer. Having someone using the clicker to count people on the platform usually works well enough.

At last. I'm full of praise for the club in most ways but despite the excellent travel subsidies, they have failed to accept the fact that it's not enough, and that travel is still a nightmare for many fans. If they won't grasp the nettle it's time this was escalated to another level. It's not just a club and convenience topic but a matter of public safety and public order. I spend £25 a match on Seagull Travel because I couldn't hack it anymore.
