Wolves was a brain fart which still needed a lot of work to score at the other end. 99/100 that wouldn’t be a goal.Ipswich is the one and only game. Wolves was a brain fart that simply won't happen again this season. We were two up with two minutes to play, it was job done.
Reading up the table, we basically beat Wolves yet didn't, we crushed Everton (eventually), beat Man Utd, beat Newcastle.
Forest are in the top 6 on merit so they don't count.

I think we’ve struck gold. As a person, he seems grounded, genuine and engaging; Barber spoke about his character and good nature in the podcast @Bozza posted. As a coach I’m starting to think he’s the real deal. He doesn’t always get it right, but he notices this and able to make the appropriate changes.
The other thing I like is he often explains his thinking in interviews. A great example of this was after Spurs when he said it was not the system at fault, but the application. He was right, we increased the intensity of the press in the second half, with some minor defensive tweaks, and scored 3 goals. I have not heard a manager explain things like this since Coppell.

I missed that podcast - do you have a link HT?
Good comparison to Coppell btw - Watching the Citeh match, I was taken by his HT chat to Sky interviewer about having to change his tactics after the first half and informing us he was going to be bringing on Baleba. I don’t recall any PL manager doing that before - it was quite extraordinary.

Im very pleased that he isn’t afraid to make changes when we need them rather than sticking to plan a with RDZ.
I do wonder whether he is playing some advance chess I don’t understand or if he is wrong to pick ayari to start with?
One thing I noticed on Saturday was our “ball skills” seem to be better especially Igor, when he first started it felt like he didn’t really know what to do with the ball and got rid of it as soon as possible, now he looks in control and that thing he did to keep the ball on and get it through the citeh players was amazing.

I have listened to quite a few of these Barber podcasts and I think this is the best one; whilst there are no grand revelations, it goes into a little more depth than others.

His appoitment has certainly drawn more interest and attention our way. All positive as well.

I think the real test will be when Dunk is back and fit. That's going to tell us a lot about him as a manager.
There's a lot to like tactically but I can't help but think we've also been a bit fortunate.
Bournemouth, Southampton, Fulham next which will be very different games. Still too early to make a clear judgement but if we manage to avoid defeat in all 3 then I'll be on the FH fun bus.

My Fab mojo is sky high. I was excited at the time of the appointment and my optimism has been vindicated. Hürzeler has combined Potter's calmness and cerebral qualities with RDZ tactical flair, the evolution of our style of play continues apace.
I think my favourite thing about Fabian is his desire to win. He is not accepting our 'perceived' underdog status he is pushing the players on to better things and instilling a confidence in the players to achieve. Hürzeler's disappointment after our visit to Anfield was the clearest indication of this ambition, the result against City a manifestation of it.
Who knows we might even get a point against Bournemouth now!
