They've just been beaten at home by lowly Auxerre.

De Zerbi: "If the problem is me, then I'm ready to resign"

A French journalist has shockingly just stated on Twitter that "OM cannot defend". Which comes as a huge surprise, I'm sure you'll all agree. I loved some of the football we played in his first season but my God was it shit or bust at times. Marseilles appear to be at the Find Out stage of FAFO right now.

I thought they were second in the table? So it's either win the league or he's shit, ok :lolol:

The full quote:
"I have to take responsibility for this home defeat. We have difficulties at home, that’s clear. I don't know whether it’s a lack of courage or personality. I came here to play at the Vélodrome because I wanted to live that experience. If the problem is me, I’m ready to leave. I’ll leave without the money, I don’t care about the rest. I don’t want to make excuses and talk nonsense. I’m not going to escape, we have to face reality. That’s what I have to do… I repeat if I’m the problem, I have to leave"

I think the partial quote above is a bit misleading. He seems much more sincere in the full quote.
It is a bit weird though. They're 2nd in the table and lost to a team on a decent run of form so he's not exactly doing badly. Remember that they finished 8th and didn't even qualify for Europe last season.
I think he's trying to put pressure on himself to do better by staking his resignation. I guess he thinks Marseille should be genuine title challengers.

A bit?

To me it reads like he's taking the responsibility, not being the diva that the first posts would have you believe

Your bitterness really does know no bounds does it, you have even shoehorned it into a thread about a different manager :lolol:

Talking about teeth sucking I think FH does it even more than GP
Just contrasting the two reactions.

De Zerbi is box office. Graham is someone who works in a box office.

It’s a shame RDZ’s got a couple of sex cases playing for him as this would otherwise be tremendous entertainment that would inevitably end with him or their fans spontaneously combusting.

Meanwhile, at Brighton, where it matters, we’ve finally got the balance right after two extremes.

It is going to end the same way regardless of who they’ve signed. I wasn’t expecting it to be moving in that direction quite so quickly though
