Just received an email from the club with a survey on the prospect of safe standing in the North Stand. "This will directly inform potential changes to the North Stand for the 2025/26 season." Also: "Safe standing will also be introduced for visiting supporters in the coming seasons."

They had it at Anfield but the seats are still here, pretty useless i you want to sit on them unless you are 5 ft 5

Can't really see the point meself. One of the best thing about terraces was the freedom to shuffle around to find your mates, so you could all stand in a group wherever you liked. Safe standing won't enable that.

That said, I'm WSU so not overly bothered either way.

Nobody sits in North except at HT anyway!

May as well, just a little less comfy on your bum at HT

This. One of the attractions to the North Stand at the Goldstone when I was a kid (and I’m treading very carefully here) was the ‘unsafe’ element, the surges and the “knees up Brighton town” losing a shoe when we scored and so on.
Standing at Anfield Saturday proved it doesn’t add much to the singing.

However, I will always vote for it as I know people want it, if I want to sit down I’ll choose a seat in the 75% of the ground that doesn’t encourage standing.

What's so unsafe about standing as it is now? Have there been any incidents whatsoever since folk started standing in (technically) all seated stadiums? (Bar people getting overexcited at a goal and going flying, but that could just as easily happen when jumping up and celebrating a goal from being seated)

Sure. But it doesn't alter my point. You can't move around like on a terrace, you're still committed to your spot regardess.
