With 3,000 tickets to sell, and in our 8th season in the prem (7th with fans at games) - these things are going to go on sale to those with far less regular attendance.

My view is that perhaps it would be better to take a smaller allocation to reduce such an issue of home fans in the away end or remodel the ticketing system to ‘games attended’ and a minimum threshold of X away games before you can purchase for Anfield / Emirates etc..!

Must admit I haven't done Anfield, but done Emirates a few times last few years and no problems there - I guess as the London games sell out far quicker. But also never noticed it at MU etc

Yes, in fairness - I have only seen this issue at Liverpool & Spurs - not Arsenal..
4 teens (all from Brighton) in front of me a couple seasons back - 2 Albion, 2 Liverpool.

Bloke & his kid in spurs regalia in the away end a couple seasons back too

I wouldn't be opposed to our away base earning their stripes at some less popular games before being able to purchase for a top 6 team away..!

It's utterly shit isn't it. Ruined my day actually. One bloke had a bag from the Liverpool club shop stuffed full of crap. I saw about 50 half and half scarves, so either they're Scousers or just complete melts, not sure which. The atmosphere, as you said on twitter, was diabolical. Really felt like about half the away end today had no real interest in the Albion one way or the other.
It is really easy for the club to find out how they get these away tickets….just ask to see them. Surprised they havnt done this already. Maybe they’re comps and they don’t want to upset sponsors?

I wonder if any of these plastics would wear another teams regalia at Millwall or Leeds..? Our fans are far too pleasant and accommodating at times. I feel sorry for those that did travel all the way up there and had to sit amongst it. If these people are gaining tickets through 1901 members, it's something that needs to looked into.

I can't make the Liverpool home game as I'm in Mexico. My brother-in-law is an armchair 'Liverpool fan' and I wouldn't ever consider offering him my seat...! I just won't put those around me through it 🤣

It seems a lot on here are happy to do it but not this old kiddie go and sit with your own mob

I know a few Brighton Fans who have supported Brighton for many years who also support (and I know we are nearly one now) a big Club.
I even know two Brighton ST holders who got "away end" Amex tickets for a game last season.

What ****s. It needs to be called out there snd then. So pleased I wasn’t there, would have been livid.
The problem is like me when I call the women out , I was in the wrong she had a massive go at me with her having 2 kids in tow not a lot I could say back , but I feel like I’ve done wrong and made to feel like it when I do call it out

Plenty of Liverpool fans in the away end today, 20 or so refused entry for wearing colours. No other club has the arrogance to get In the away end, gets worse every year, to the point where I just can’t be arsed to be surrounded by top southern reds, so I won’t bother next year (I will). Train rammed back down to London because it’s full of Southern reds just makes the entire experience a waste of time, I don’t want a neutral end.

I noticed you on the way out not being happy. I'm assuming that was the crowd of Liverpool fans?

Plenty around me filming the dirge that is "You'll never walk alone" It was a weirdly soporific atmosphere yesterday. If I was generous I'd say that the massively high roof doesn't really help generating a noise but then it didn't seem to stop Liverpool making a racket who I thought did their bit as a crowd which we as a club only ever do on rare occasions.

Worst away atmosphere since Wolves away in the FA cup which had the extenuating circumstances of midweek and the shit stand.

I noticed a lot of people who I wouldn’t usually see at away games, which is fine, some Brighton fans who can’t usually get away tickets managed to go that’s really good, it’s just a massive shame that they’ve essentially got pushed down the list because some people have passed on tickets. On the train point though, the train up and down was only a 9 car, and was obviously double booked or something, but it’s just full of Southern reds, makes the whole thing tedious. On the way back a load of Southern giving it large singing all the way about how much they love coming from Liverpool as they all get off at Crewe.

Yeah I had a word with the Brighton stewards, just said it’s getting ridiculous here, and they agreed, said to email supporter services, which I will do.

There was a right :tosser: who got on the same bus as me back to station having a right go at the driver about getting a ticket. He walk up the bus to his "mates" swearing away and this elderly lady said "he's only doing his job" and he went on about living in Brighton but being Liverpool. Real obnoxious group very loud all the way back into town. I wonder if they were part of the home fans in with us

1901 away tickets should be allocated to an individual fan number with the right number of points on purchase.

IMO 1901 away tickets should be changed. I don't give a toss how much they pay, their entitlement should only be applicable to home matches they should be treated exactly the same as "normal" fans for away matches. Have a named person on each 1901 allocation and their tickets are not transferable.

A couple of years ago at a match at Old Trafford I swear everyone I spoke to were either Man U fans or people who weren't that bothered but were there with their Man U friend. And also Dale Stephens, but that's not particularly relevant.

I ended up chatting to one of the stewards, who was also a man u supporter, but at least she was actually mancunian and went to Old Trafford more than once a year.

No they wouldn’t and yes we are.

I’d love to call it at but at 57 years of age I’m a coward now so if I did do it it’d be after a skinful of liquor, I’d end up getting my words in a mucking fuddle, make myself look a twat and get slung out myself.

Needless to say I just keep my mouth shut.

The 1901 situation is flawed for sure. I’d never let a non Albion fan have my ticket for an away game, I rarely let anyone have it as I’m often using it. Shouldn’t be beyond the realms of the club telling all 1901 customers that they can’t assign away tickets to fans of the home team, and if they do then withdraw the privilege to those members.
I wouldn’t want the option to be removed, but if they did I’d understand it.

That's fair play, I think the majority does the same and that's understandable. The problem is the plastics that can't even be bothered to go into opposition stands icognito. I think raising concerns with the club is the main way in.

IMO, there needs to be much tighter controls on 'big 6' games home and away. Any ST caught sharing tickets with opposition fans should have their ST revoked (if even possible). Show zero tolerance and weed them out. f*** em!
