Don't bank on it with the current muppets in charge.

Don’t worry she’ll be fine as long as she keeps her mouth shut and goes back to being the ‘submarine’ - or maybe not. Maybe by opening her mouth, she will command the unified support of grassroot Tory Party members and maybe she is exactly where Tory supporters are at:

  • the stigmatisation of people with autism
  • believing maternity pay is ’excessive’
  • that the national minimum wage is a burden on small businesses’ -
  • and have an anti-woke approach to colonialism and inequalities

She’s the worst kind of politician - sees everybody else‘s needs from her own neo-privilege world view. She‘s in close alignment with Trump’s far right agenda and will drag the Tory Party even further away from the hard right of centre. If he gets elected, she and Trump should have plenty to chat about too over State dinners, with her husband being a managing director of the Deutsche Bank and all, a bank where Trump and his Putin buddies have allegedly been money laundering Russian Oligarch money through his real estate empire for decades.

The Tories haven’t got a clue. Two dreadful candidates and they still pick the worse one. I pooh-poohed someone here (never pooh-pooh a pooh-pooh) suggested the Tories might genuinely be nearing extinction.

Well, I just can’t see how they think it’s a great idea to pitch themselves as Reform-lite and expect to retake the centre.

Madness.
She'll vacuum up the bla.....

Actually, no. No she won't. :lolol:

I genuinely had to ask myself what you were banging on about.

Crikey.

Well, good luck with your new leader and all that

Given the Tory propensity for knifing their leaders in the back, there must be pretty long odds against her still being in post come the next GE.
Will be looking up the odds of her not being leader when the next GE takes place.....

Apparently she was calling for honesty within the party going forward in her acceptance speech. Like....they have been pursuing a dishonest narrative up to now. While running the country for 14 years. How very queer.

Is this the idiot that claimed she had worked her way down to working class?
Yep, claimed she was working class because she’d worked at McDonalds, which must be news to Trump

I mean FFS. Where are the William Hague’s and John Major’s? Calm, sane, centre-right leaders. They’re all looney tunes now
Boris expunged them after they refused to back his car crash no deal Brexit plans, most of them are now doing podcasts by my reckoning

Absolutely this. Where have all the good Tories gone? They’re a bunch of freaks now…
All forced out by Johnson. One Nation Tories are few on the ground now, and the remaining members far to the right of them these days, so no chance of any of them becoming leader. The more to the right they tack, their chances of recruiting more moderate members vanishes. Would be on their way to becoming a fringe party if our mainstream press wasn't so Anti-Labour

The members only like nutters, sadly (for the Tories)
Take Hague for example, exemplary politician. I preferred the message the other lot were offering, but there was none of this insanity and I respect him. Then there was Charles Kennedy for the Libs. A brilliant man.

Seems standards are in the pits at the moment.

Something very odd about the Tory party. First to elect a female leader, first to have a female PM (and a second, but not a third, lettuces don’t count), first and only Jewish PM (Disraeli), youngest ever PM (Pitt) and first of colour and first Hindu (Sunak). And now another female leader and of colour.

Makes them sound moderate and progressive but….

It is unusual, isn't it... and Labour have a 'gammon'.
