I posted in another thread, he was local but wasn’t a particularly pleasant individual. Him and his missus looked like crackheads , he was spoiling for an argument from the first minute standing up the whole time, being abusive etc

In the first few seasons at the Amex nearly everyone I spoke to was a fan of another club (mainly Arsenal) so no surprise me included aren’t originally Brighton fans.

That, and the need to accommodate STs from the old Riverside stand when it was demolished. A lot of them have stayed in the Putney - much cheaper than the new Riverside.
Probably a few didn’t fancy going back to the Al Fayed lounge either …..

I posted the below on the match day thread, and it is still pissing me off.
"Well the signs were there the minute I saw the match day programme pull out, really
it wasn’t even the quarter finals.
Then my suspensions were ringing when the dad and son next to me failed to stand or sing for “Sussex-by-the-sea”
he then tried to hide his delight doing a fist punch as Liverpool scored, then covered his face laughing.
from that point he knew, I knew clearly a local Liverpool fan, and he gave up trying to hide it, clapping attacks and smugly smiling in my direction (tw@t)
how the feck are they allowed tickets in the North, just pisses me off, I acted accordingly because I was with my daughter and left when they scored the third and he jumped up, by leaving and loudly telling my daughter
“we’re off, theres obviously a lot plastic scousers here, check your pockets make sure nothings missing before we leave”
that taught him….
In all honesty, it was really, really pissing me off he was sat next to me."

There used to be a scouser sitting near us. Everton fan originally but been down here just as long as he was there. There were Man U fans in front of him when we thrashed them and Ronaldo cried. He gave them the proper treatment and they left on the thirdWas really thrown in the WSU concourse when a couple asked if they could perch on the shelf next to us in the thickest scouse accents you can imagine, only to see their daughter had an Albion shirt and scarf on. Maybe we've managed to encroach in the NW of England and are now the team glory hunters up there pick to support
I really do wonder about the thought processing of some people.

I recall at away games in the early 90s there was an Everton fan who went away with the Albion, originally from Liverpool, but moved down as a child, he was alright actually.

Liverpool fan with an Albion ST. Takes his mate and the mates young son, both Liverpool fans, to the game on Wednesday for the lads birthday.
Gets refused entry as the kid has a Liverpool shirt on. He then asks if they can be put in the away end
They have to go home as still refused entry by our head steward as well.
Sad for the kid, admittedly, but them's the rules. Perhaps the adults can learn the rules before going to another game. Or follow Rugby instead.

Some plastic scouse fan on 606 having a right old moan about not being let in the home end the other night with his mate and son who was wearing a liverpool shirt. OK he was 11 but rules are rules - he talked about stewards showing common sense, but where was his common sense in not thinking maybe not a good idea to rock up with him openly wearing his Liverpool shirt!?
