So you are writing him off? Utter nonsense. Let's see how he gets on if he gets a run in the side.
No. Not writing him off at all, but if a few players struggle to adapt then all I'm saying is it's hardly surprising. Not all players adapt from coming from abroad and he does look off the pace so far. We've signed about 9 players in the last few months and if one or two disappoint then so be it. From what I've seen I just feel we have better midfield squad options than him. As before I never worry too much if we win or lose - I'm still pragmatic enough to accept it's only a game and nothing to get too upset about. Roll on Liverpool next week!

It wasn't just the pass and dawdling. We were under real pressure when he came on but his positioning was appalling and he was marking neither space or man. Gruda was telling him what to do twice straight away, he then left the man he was marking and another in space. He reminds me of the people you had to talk through Sunday league games because they hadn't played eleven a side for years

Absolute madness the “let’s see how he does with a run in the side” crew. Sometimes you just have to accept you’ve bought a dud and get on with it. This bloke shouldn’t be anywhere near getting a run in the side. Woefully poor. Locadia levels.
Hes got to play his way in for sure. But writing a player off, after a handful of appearances in a new league, because he made you feel sad today is far more mad.

it’s not just today though. He’s directly cost us 3 goals so far this season with misdirected simple passes. Positionally, he doesn’t seem to have a clue - seems to always keep an opposition player between him and the player in possession. When defending, he seems to just get in the way of the other defenders. He’s awful.

Not just today. He’s been awful in every game he’s played regardless of whether he’s started or come on as a sub. He clearly a million miles from the level that a top 10 prem club needs.

He hasn't been great. But he's just started with us. I was suggesting it's madness to write him off.

What can i say? I'm glad you feel confident enough to be certain of that at this stage. I'll reserve my judgement. I've seen him look OK in a couple of games and am a middle aged man who's written off a thousand players in my lifetime in moments of anger only for them to be great.

I completely disagree. There is many a time when, like you say, the player should take it to a corner flag. But not when it's 4 on 1 and you have the chance to end the game. 4 on 1! It's unfathomable that he managed to find the one Wolves player.

We should have simply walked that into the net.
Spot on.

4 vs 1.

That is the worst decision/pass I have seen since we’ve been at The Amex. It was absolutely appalling, of course he was gutted, and he should be.

Whilst I’m ranting, why was our holding midfielder bombing forward anyway?

Why the feck did Igor keep backing off, when he clearly needed to go towards the ball, that was poor as well……….. but Mats that was so bad……..

Hope he recovers quickly.

Big well done to all the supporters who still clapped him and the team off…..

What we should have done and what we did is the difference between 1 and 3 points today. Should he have made the pass? Absolutely he should have. But mistakes happen. Walk that to the corner win a throw and keep the ball for the final minute with us back in shape. We would have walked away with 3 points. Second he played the bad pass to many players were out of position.
No he shouldn’t. There was still opportunity commit the Wolves player then pass.

But if he felt ‘he had to’, chip it, I’d rather be moaning about something that was overhit, than something that was just presented on a plate…..
