I haven't got a PayPal account, I'm pretty sure I paid direct from my Barclaycard.

But yes, I want to renew for another year, so if it doesn't happen automatically let me know. (I'll check my end as well).

EDIT: Just checked my records, it was my Barclaycard, paid to your PayPal account. It was on the 1st November, so I'll check then to make sure it's gone through as an 'automatic renewal' payment.
I've just checked from my side - Paypal really hide this stuff - and it looks as though it's set as recurring so, assuming your card is still valid, I think it will go through on the anniversary of when you paid.

Bozza, Apologies but I can't find in my records what card I used to pay last year. Hopefully it is re-occurring, but if not, can you let me know your payment details please?
I think I need to re-do this as the card I used to pay last year would have expired.

That has happened with a few monthly patrons.

From what I can see at my end, you should get an email from Paypal informing you your card has expired, giving you an opportunity to update it, and payment is attempted again.

Tea from me, this morning for you, Bozza, last night for me. I've decided to drink tea on the mornings I go to Lakeview Chicago to watch the Albion during the late fall/winter months.

The first annual patronages (is that a word?) were on 1st November 2024, so renewals should commence on Thursday.

I just wanted to try to give people notice so they could cancel that, should they wish.

It’s a scam that an annual patronage lasts less than a day.

Mine left on 1 Nov, I’ll let you know if it does again this year.

If the monthly renewals are anything to go by, PayPal tries to draw funds a month to the very second of the initial payment.

As such I suspect you will get exactly a year, not a second more nor a second less!

I assume you’re spending your ill-gotten gains going on Splash Mountain at Disneyworld.

Enjoy riding that big hard log and getting splashed all over your face in the big finale.

I think you may have been whooshed.

Look at the year you put in the post I replied to…

I know being a patron means no adds but does that also include the link to Amazon as I frequently use that?

Seems to have disappeared from the pages since I signed up.

Yeah, someone else mentioned that.

In simple terms, it's in the same code block as the banner ad at the top of the page so, when I hid that banner from patrons, I also hid the Amazon link.

But that should be quite quick for me to unpick. I might look at it now.
