I went for lunch at Palmito a couple of weeks back, I went expecting something amazing based on some of the comments on here and I thought it was a bit of a let down to be honest. Seating was too cramped for my liking and felt almost like we were sharing a table with the couple next to us. The food reminded me a bit of burnt orange but not as nice. I am a vegetarian and maybe the meat options are better but for me it was no more than a 6/10.

I had something from the veg, meat and fish sections and loved it all. Not sure I mentioned the cramped seating in my review on here but I can see why it would put some off. The couple at the table next to me seemed mildly perturbed as I was splashing curry sauce around as I cracked into crab legs

The arse end of Hangleton
The drinks menu looks a tad overpriced?!
As well as very limited (much like the food menu) .... for example no zero % drinks.

Also, what do the coloured dots on the drinks menu mean ? No key. Seems a very badly thought out concept.

We are going to Bill's this saterday after the game. Any reviews (or better recommandations)?

In terms of recommendations, you'll get plenty from the regular posters on this thread I'm sure if you give an idea of the sort of vibe/restaurant/cuisine that you're after. With regard to Bill's specifically, I've eaten there a few times and the food has always been solid and not spectacular. It is a decent choice if you want a quick-ish bite to eat, IMO.

It's solid, but you can do far better and, if you can do far better, why not. If you can expand on what sort of food, atmosphere and price point you're looking at, we can probably point you in the right direction.

Bill's will be ideal. It's a good choice, and nice food, enjoy your trip!

Agree with this given your group dynamic @Wieffergoat

It's a solid all rounder. When I'm out with just my wife it tends to be Japanese or fine dining as this is more to our tastes. However, when the family are out we often look for a grill or a place with a variety of dishes because we'll have my son (18 years old, loves curry and big portions, hates sushi and some vegetables), my daughter (14, loves sushi and loaded fries, hates spicy food, likes the vegetables my son hates) and my wife and I who'll eat anything. If the extended family get involved then you can add brother who is a chef, mum who is slightly mad and step dad who is a diabetic food snob. Our last meal with this cohort was at Rockwater which is a similar compromise food wise with a range of dishes, but more expensive and far out of town. Bills will be as good, cheaper and give you a proper Brighton experience in the walk to and from and the atmosphere.
