Excellent news that he felt fully recovered.I was out drinking with one of the Newcastle paramedics after the game, and he explained that they were cautious with Danny as he initially complained of not being able to feel his legs, after the impact.
They took him to the hospital adjacent the ground, but discharged him after half an hour as he recovered pretty quickly and no serious issues were found

Yeah he is telling lies there. Why would they share confidential information - why risk their job? Medical professionals are normally very good with stuff like that. Also a paramedic goes to the pub right after a long shift? This is the UK. A drink straight after a long working day is very common in a lot of professions. Especially so in those where they are potentially seeing/dealing with some pretty harrowing things on a daily basis. It helps you unwind. I would do it regularly after a 12 hours shift in the City and I worked in IT. Couple of pints with workmates to relax before heading for the train.

I have personally met up with a very good friend who is an A&E nurse for a pint right after their shift. And she has told me loads of stuff about how her day was, the patients she’s had and so on when I’ve asked how her day went.
There are some people on here, Swansman for one, who seem absolutely baffled by British culture despite having posted here a while.

Yeah I work 12 hour days dealing with difficult cases in medical emergencies for travel insurance.
A nice whiskey or pint after the shift is a godsend.

Telling you about their day when you don't know who the person is vs telling someone information about a specific person by name is different.

I don’t care about that, I was responding to the poster who basically called another poster a liar because their own life experience didn’t line up with what they read. As I say, I’ve seen that from other international members on here. It’s very weird behaviour.
But I would hope they don't give any clues about who their patients were. Mrs T is NHS and would never tell me any confidential info about a patient.

Answered in the post directly above yours. I don’t ask for the patient’s name and she doesn’t tell, none of my business. I was referring to another poster once again posting confidently incorrectly implying the poster sharing that was a liar, on the basis that a paramedic wouldn’t go for a drink after work. Which is bollocks.

But this discussion was about someone claiming that a Newcastle paramedic had shared information about a patient (Danny), and how that would be in breach of confidentiality. Other professionals I know, do not share such information.
