Igor does some really good stuff, then the odd clanger. True for Baleba also.
I noticed with Baleba today that when he came short to offer for Verbruggen he generally played it straight back to Bart, taking no chance of getting caught in possession. This is an improvement because he is very one footed and uncomfortable facing his own goal. Let Bart do the progressive pass after drawing the press.

Hurzeler deserves a lot of credit

Fabian Hurzeler deserves a lot of credit today as it was a brilliant away performance from Brighton, especially against a Newcastle side who have plenty of pace in the forward areas.

I am delighted that we have a manager who is flexible. We have so many attacking options, it’s worth keeping it tighter at the back. We’ll score.

Absolutely this. More than anything other than a fantastic unexpected win, I'm delighted to know that Hurzeler is willing to change things up to get a result, and not play the high line, high press come rain or shine

I think today also showed the depth of our squad. For me it's better than the other teams trying to get that 6/7th spot.

Amazing depth. RDZ used to rotate the squad obsessively in order to keep them fit throughout the season. Hurzeler has the luxury of so many quality players, he can go with the strongest team on the day - while resting players as and when they need it. A lot like how top 6 clubs do.

So after 8 games we have won 4 games. 3 of those were against teams that realistically would be targeted a place in Europe this season. Plus a draw against a team odds on for top 3 (if they can keep 11 players on the pitch).
Now hopefully we can beat Wolves and then we have two free hits.
I’d take beat wolves and lose the pool and city games I think. 4 points I def would.

Was @Kosh there? I think it's one of his local games!

I was… met some lovely Albion fans too… mention for the Canadian 🇨🇦 branch and the two lads next to me and my son who were as ecstatic as me come the (long overdue) final whistle.

Superb support from us and I’m incredibly proud of the players/Fabs, pragmatism defined… out thought Eddie and I’d argue out fought a niggly Newcastle team…

Make no mistake, yes - we rode our luck here and there, but that is one hell of a result ⚽
