Wellbeck our best player this year, so hope it's a spasm.
Fergie needs to go home and watch what he does. When a man over a decade older runs past your through sheer desire you have a f***ing problem.

Not so unintelligent is he?
Don’t be confusing me with ‘Zebedee ‘ ???
Does our manager really have a clue about what he's doing? I do wonder looking at our line up.
We watch a different manager and different team.😉

Verbruggen my MotM today - no mistakes, confident in the face of a battering high press. Some great saves.

One of the best team defensive displays I have seen from a Brighton team for many a year, very well done.

Of course backs to the wall and desperate defending is not the stuff of dreams, but it's nice to know we can do it. I'd much rather this result than a swashbuckling draw or loss. It gives the feeling that Fab can do something Ange can't.

Definitely deserved. They may have had more chances, more possession and what not - but we deserved to win just for our defensive display and one clinical moment.

That’s football. George Graham, Mourinho, Conte and Hodgson spent swathes of their managerial years engineering daylight robberies built on a cleansheet.

A truly fantastic result as evidenced by how long it’s been since they lost at home.

Very resilient performance. Good to see Ferdi more involved today. I really hope Welbeck isn’t out for too long but if not Ferguson needs to take the chance, he looked off it today.

Really pleased to see we played a pragmatic defensive line, credit to the manager for that.

Wonderful result today. The boys played well even though the 1st half was very tough. No much of a high line because we had to defend deep. I hope Welbeck is ok.

Not really sure we actually set out to be defensive though - I think we just had to be. Newcastle are quick, sharp and forward-thinking at all times.
