- Brighton took four points out of six versus Newcastle last season, winning 3-1 at home and drawing 1-1 at St James' Park.
- However, the Seagulls have won on only two of their seven Premier League visits to Newcastle.
- Newcastle's tally of 12 points is exactly the same as they had after seven matches last season.

- Newcastle can equal their longest Premier League home unbeaten run under Eddie Howe of 12 games, last set in February 2023.
- Howe is unbeaten in all six Premier League home matches as a manager against Brighton, only dropping points in Newcastle's 1-1 draw last season.
- They have scored in 22 successive top-flight home fixtures since a goalless draw versus Leicester City in May 2023.
- Newcastle have faced a league-high 18 shots following a high turnover.
- They have failed to score from open play in their last three matches in all competitions - all without Alexander Isak.

- Brighton have conceded eight goals across their last three league games, one more than they had in their previous eight matches combined.
- They have netted multiple goals in five of their seven league matches so far this season, having failed to do so in any of their final 13 fixtures of 2023-24.
- Albion have scored 13 goals in seven league fixtures under Fabian Hürzeler, as many goals as they netted in their final 15 top-flight games under Roberto De Zerbi.
- The Seagulls have conceded just two second-half Premier League goals this season and none after the 70th minute. Newcastle have also let in a joint low two goals after half-time.
- Danny Welbeck has been directly involved in five goals in seven Premier League appearances this season, scoring four and assisting two, just one fewer than he managed in 29 matches last season.
- However, Welbeck has scored only one goal in 14 Premier League appearances against Newcastle, failing to net in his nine matches at St James' Park.
