This is so tragic. A big talent in a band with some great songs and good energy. RIP Liam.

This hasn’t been confirmed
Indeed, the whole thing sounds very messy…..

“According to police in Buenos Aires, officers at the scene were initially responding to reports "of an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol".

When they arrived at the hotel, officials heard a loud sound in an interior courtyard before discovering the body. A police investigation has been launched.” BBC

Death by misadventure can’t be ruled out.

A tragedy for his family and fans. RIP.

RIP. He was cheerily posting on Instagram just a few hours prior, talking about his plans for the day. Very sad news for his friends, family and fans.

I didn’t much care for OD but have a lot of respect for anyone that supported Soccer Aid the way he did tbh

Any death is tragic but it’s very nature, the events in Buenos Aires are heightened by the uncertainty, the conflicting reports and constant media speculation.

It is very, very sad, for everyone concerned, his family, his friends, the millions of fans who never even met him, but the person who it impacts the most and for the rest of his life, is his little boy, as you only get one real Dad, thankfully in Cheryl Cole he has a strong woman as his loving Mum, because he’s going to need it.

(And good to see the shithouse comment on the thread earlier has been removed)

So sad that a young and talented person’s life should end in such a tragic way. We don’t know the circumstances so hopefully people will stop speculating but awful for his young son and for his girlfriend that was apparently with him at the hotel.

I’m glad the inappropriate comment has been removed from the thread - whatever your opinions of OD was as a band, this was a young father, not much more than a lad himself, who’s death with cause deep heartbreak for his family and friends.

If anyone is struggling please talk to someone - don’t bottle it up inside.

(edit - just saying that from first hand experience - ’trying to be strong’ and ‘hiding your feelings’ makes it worse in the long run)
