They do designs for lots of different clubs, mostly based around retro designs, thus the use of our old badge on some shirts. Some of the designs aren’t for me, and are definitely targeted at people who enjoy vintage football fashion, but the overall quality is good.

‘Art of Football’ are their own entity & was selling Brighton designs (amongst others) long before they partnered up with the club to be on the official website.

I like some of the designs. It's usually really good quality too.

6/10. Could do a lot better.
(why not just have 'Sussex by the Sea' - what's the 'good ole' all about? Naff). The 'Beware' one is ok.

Unfortunately I have to say I agree with most of you. The designs look like cheap tourist crap you get from a street seller on your beach holiday for £5. It's a bit like the catering at the Amex (extremely expensive and really poor quality). Why isn't the club setting some (higher) standards?

What if the club partnered with a proper first class english/british clothing brand for a limited collection?

Some of the older designs they had were decent like the European tour tshirts, the hyperturq scarf, or the mitoma tshirt. But more recent ones aren't great.

If you listed the worst dozen designs AOF had ever produced I think everything in this collection would be there.

I swear AOF neither like football nor art.
These things are always so uninspiring.
This is bloody brilliant though....

The tee that takes inspiration from the Cyril and Cecil Seagull cartoon strip that appeared in the match day programme in the late 70s (after the name change from Dolphins) is quite cool! 😎

Or just talk with Nike and say "we'll design some nice shit and you can have your logo on it".

AIK in Sweden has done that, and produced a couple of decent "special" shirts in recent years. Not saying they're great or anything but it shows that Nike (hopefully even with a PL team) can be flexible if you ask them to:

The stuff they do that are just simple, subtle designs with the Withdean badge are fantastic. I got a couple of jumpers from them with the Withdean badge that are great quality.

The quarter zip is alright. I won’t be buying it but it’s the best of those new designs. Rest of the new stuff is pony.

On a side note, I’d love us to bring back the Withdean badge. It was distinctively ours. The current one blends into a crowded field of clubs desperately trying to promote their ‘brand’ and ‘product’. Well aware it’ll never happen.
