[Albion] New anti-VAR song released

Yep. We go to football, sometimes 90 minutes of NOTHINGNESS, in anticipation of maybe that ONE moment of spontaneous elation......and now we need to wait for it to be ratified.

It's really really really bad

People point to other sports using a review system but the issue is these are sports where teams score LOTS of times. A try, touchdown or wicket is obviously a moment, but it's no where near the importance of a goal.

In the rugby PL there is, on average, close to 6 tries a game and tries aren't the only method to score goals. There's also kicks

NFL has around 5 touchdowns per game and it not the only method of scoring. There's also kicks

Cricket is a stop start game with the team needing to take 10 wickets.

Football can be won by a single goal.

Remember when Coventry has a last minute of ET winner ruled out against Man Utd for this? The team had celebrated, the fans had gone wild.....they were on their way to an FA Cup final....and then they show the toenail of a player involved was allegedly offside using the faultless technology. Goal ruled out and united win.

And some fans say this is better.

One of the absolute worst, most biased of the whole VAR period.

I've never understood this argument. I have never seen anyone mute their celebrations just in case. Look at how many goals were celebrated by Chelsea fans before the linesman put his flag up, not VAR. I think i've even celebrated more as ive celebrated, then VAR checks, then celebrate again when given.
Nonsense. I didn’t celebrate any of our goals against Spurs, just looked to see/waited…anticipated each would be ruled out. It has utterly ruined the game. FACT.

I celebrated them all, Spurs fans celebrated the goal that was ruled offside even though the flag was up. Chelsea fans celebrated all the disallowed goals. The not celebrating is your own negativity and thinking things will go wrong.

I knew VAR was all my fault. Your point is akin to saying you can still celebrate with non alcoholic beer. Pointless.

McAllister’s worldie against Leicester is the best Albion example of how VAR has ruined the game as a spectacle.

That was one of those moments you go to football for. Chalked off because a bloke looking at a screen miles away thought the keeper only let the ball into the top corner because an Albion player (Mwepu) could have been interfering with play.

Except those kinds of goals were also chalked off before VAR, its f***ing stupid to think it was due to VAR that this started happening.

Hard to draw conclusions from one thread, but strikes me that many fans have accepted VAR, especially this
season's minimised version. I still think that view will unravel when some "golden moments" get ruled out by
VAR, or blatant bias is shown.

Still doesn’t excuse someone making up a dirge though
