It really wasn't. We took 7 points out of 33 possible against the top 36, which is rather awful.

Over the entire season I think we won two (!) games, Spurs and Villa, against teams that were above us in the league table at the time.
I would suggest you should beat the bottom teams more than the top ones, if you can’t get that right, there isn’t much hope in the others…..

Surprised we stayed up 😉

Also for Cambridge United. Who have picked up 1 point in their first 9 games, from a 4-4 draw against Blackpool.

Been looking at end of season fixtures.

Within their last 5, Leicester play Wolves away, and Saints and Ipswich at home. Could be some humdingers in there.

I assume you mean 7 points out of possible 36 against the top 6?

If you are referring to the "Big 6" then we have already got 7 points out of a possible 12 this season...

One of the bottom four will stay up….and Everton, West Ham, Leicester and Man United could still fall on their arses

Or is it that 40 points leaves you clear of the danger zone. The last few years, the bottom 6 has looked precarious thanks to the likes of Everton and Forest only just dodging relegation.

Some proper shite down there this season, even more than usual
