Reactionary crowd. If we started like that and scored in 3, 13 and 21 the atmosphere in the first half would have been amazing, if they come back 3-2 it would have been squeaky bum time
I watched the MOTD2 coverage then switched to the 30 min Sky highlights at 11pm last night, the commentary on one of them (can't remember which) remarked something along the lines of "when the crowd are happy at Brighton the atmosphere is good".
Last few minutes of the first half were so quiet, totally flat/dead atmosphere. To the point where up in West Upper I could hear a humming noise which was either coming from the PA system or the extractor fans from the catering units below.
Second half, quick start and early goal woke everyone up.
I don't know where you sit, but from WSU in the first half Spuds were annoyingly loud, with good reason as they were well on top. However, seconf half they barely raised a song and stood there in glum silence.Agreed. And that includes the Spuds fans who - despite the 'Is this the Emirates?' chant at 2-0 - were near silent!
I'm not one to get hung up on atmospheres, but it's a bit rich complaining about a lack of noise when you're not making any yourselves!

Definitely. And visible emotion. Minteh almost crying with relief after his goal and Rutter going mad. Lots of pent up frustration released by young men who were feeling a lot of pressure and crowds feed off it. Consequentially Spurs were quite vocal and shell shocked in silence second half. I find that a much more relatable response than doing coordinated salutes and claps and hitler youth style chanting while some fatty with his top off screams orders at you through a megaphone. The team performance raised the crowd. Not just the first and second goals but the players fighting spirit, from HT winning duals everywhere.
Getting drubbed first half - no atmosphere.
Come out fighting and score early second half - good atmosphere.
It's how 99% of fans in Britain roll (yes including Palace) and was ever thus.
Absolutely. Maybe the loons on here need to watch the game again on Sky. Even the commentators said how quiet it was after we took the lead. You could here a pin drop.Interesting. It sounded dreadful on the TV!
Family stand. There was a bit of noise and the James Maddison song, but not a lot after that.I don't know where you sit, but from WSU in the first half Spuds were annoyingly loud, with good reason as they were well on top. Yeah it was weirdly quiet on the telly at one point - commented on being shocked into silence or something. But the second half up to taking the lead sounded great, and then near full time. I guess a bit of anxiousness kicked in around holding on?Absolutely. Maybe the loons on here need to watch the game again on Sky. Even the commentators said how quiet it was after we took the lead. A lot of crowds are quiet until something is happening. Forest an exception. In all the places I've been to, Leeds is in a class of its own. Deafening. When the equalised against us in 2022 I thought me ears were going to cave in.It’s not just the Amex.. was at Chelsea last week, they were quiet AF despite that extraordinary first half.. Everton likewise, Liverpool silent apart from YNWA, Man U shite, Arsenal and Spurs quiet until they score .. most impressed I’ve been by a home crowd recently is Forest away a couple of years ago when they beat us after our Cup semi
What’s funny is the players agreed with you. So the players must also be bedwetters according to someI guess you won’t read this as I will be on ignore but I am going to respond anyway. Your post is everything wrong with NSC, I couldn’t be at the game as I live too far away, I was watching alone and my comments on how we were set up and playing are what I would have said to the person sitting next to me and I am sure thousands of fans said something very similar during that first half.
It’s a football forum it’s about opinions. As for the frankly childish comments like bedwetter and entitled that’s just childish nonsense. If you want an echo chamber where every opinion mirrors you own you go fot it.

Oddly, it was a ground I had never been to. We didn't play them in the years I went to almost every away match. And after, for some reason, I just couldn't be bothered even though it was a new one.Leeds usually fantastic, have been for years, long before Forest found their voice three years ago.
