Edit - having actually read the thread if it's the float valve that is a simpler fix depending on if you can get to the other side of the flexi in the wall..
The first sentence in the opening post mentions it’s filling then stopping, stop start.
It’s usually the flush valve letting by that’s causing the fill valve to stop start.

I usually change both if they look old and one is playing up.

Because you've been very helpful in the past, and it's always good to have some contacts out in the east
I see, thank you.
I have done work for posters on here that live in Lewes. I spent years working in Brighton and Hove but I can’t be doing with the parking restrictions and busy roads.
Thankfully I get enough work between Ovingdean and Seaford and don’t have to go into Brighton

And I appreciate the jobs you send my way 👍 parking is a nause though..
I spent 15mins on the phone to an old lady explaining her awkward job to me earlier. Said I'd go have a look tomorrow , she then tells me she's in the centre of Hove, no parking, 10th floor block of flats..😳

Is a French polisher someone who sees something or someone French and rubs it/them down with a duster?
Something like that but normally a shrug of the shoulders. Followed with the burning of tyres.

FFS I hate working in flats, should be compulsory to have parking spaces in the grounds for trades working there.

One thing I’ve learnt from doing DIY on my own place is that what you think is an easy job, NEVER is!
What I don’t get is I know nothing about fixing cars I go to the mechanic, why people suddenly think plumbing, electrical work should be attempted without any prior knowledge or experience or correct tools does my head in.

I have to deal with that in London, oh I think there are some bays two streets away ffs. I charge parking fees and from the time I park up these days.
Just off Brixton Hill yesterday, £8.48 for 1hr.. And it's a deal breaker if i cant park close by.. had 3 attempts to break into van; i'm parking in line of sight or not coming..
